dunno what is it about Mechanist's lair that bugs out light emittance but I'm hoping this mod will fix it for me. No idea why but not a single light in the entire cell (heck even the RobCo service center above it is pitch black) works (or rather, emits light father than in a few centimeters radius), forcing me to play the entire damn place wither with night vision on, or with a flashlight. Downloading the mod and gonna try it out tomorrow. If it doesn't, I'll see if just turning off ENB for the time I'm there fixes shite or not (since I don't have any other mods that could affect interiors or lights)
Edit: the mod didn't help much with the lighting in the larger part of the mechanist's lair, but it got me thinking and I realized my main problem was NAC. And it's fairly hidden default darkening of interiors. Yuck. I had to go to NAC settings and set to "Brighter interiors 2" (aka 2 stages brighter than the new "default" for light in the mechanist lair to return to vanilla-like darkness (where you recognize most shapes in the darkness at least), not the PITCH BLACK CAN'T SEE THE END OF YOUR GUN EVEN THOUGH THERE'S A LAMP 2 FEET TO YOUR LEFT black.
Very nice, and much simpler than trying to place enough lights in workshop mode to light up the area adequately. I'm disappointed that Bethesda made the interior area so dim by default (though making it start that way and become brighter like this after resolving the Automatron main questline peacefully would have made sense - once the Mechanist stopped focusing on cranking out more robots, there'd be time to tweak the lighting of the base), and I'm surprised nobody else made a similar mod before that I can find - there are a few Transfer Settlements Blueprints, but glancing at the images for them, I'm not sure they do as well as this mod at lighting up the area.
