Saw another mod that removes sounds for mines. Someone had mentioned adding a click just before the boom. This mod gives you a quick click and a brief pause before exploding (more than likely you will always get caught in the blast radius).

Didn't mess with damage modifiers, only sound file, proximity and time to detonate. This should work for all mines, I only tested with frag mines (so please let me know if you've discovered a bug)

0.04 - wasn't too happy with sound and results. Changed the sound file and timer (0.00028 to 0.00050)
tested on mines several times and the sounds sound pretty good (should not do more than one click, let me know if it does for you)

0.03 - changed timer from 0.0035 - 0.00028 (heard a mine tick twice, readjusted timer value, seems like 1 tick now)
0.02 - drop proximity to 70 (down from 100) and raised timer from 0.0032 to 0.0035
0.01 - default proximity and timer taken from 1.5 to 0.0032
