These are fantastic! I did end up uninstalling as I wasn't ready to part with the kitty cat paintings though lol. Would love to see these as standalone paintings, but regardless it's a lovely mod. I definitely love seeing history-oriented paintings (alongside dogs playing poker).
I have now added an optional file with cats. Since the paintings were all taken I have expanded into advertising posters which now feature cat paintings.
Sorry to ask, but can you tell me where this paintings can be found? I mean, they are out there in the world (interiors, exteriors...?) or only craftable in the workshop?
For as simple a mod as this is it is one of my favorites. Every time I see the new paintings I always think to wow that's an actual painting and not a highschooler's art project. It really does make the entire world feel more real somehow.
This is brilliant! Also, I love your mod descriptions - they are small philosophical treatises on facts of life. Thank you for making the modding world richer with your every project!
I actually read a lot of philosophy, I think it's very fun. I'm just happy people don't find me tedious for always going on about it, so thank you very much for your kind words.
I think you misunderstood. Social realist movement wasn't a social movement, it was a type of art that encouraged ordinary people to participate in the art world during a time when only snobs did that kind of thing. It was probably the most important part of art history, and is the reason why ordinary people have access to art today. It made art democratic, and paintings like Dogs Playing Poker would not have existed otherwise, since they would have been considered to be "too pedestrian." It would've been like the renaissance where you were only meant to paint "proper" things like kings and dead saints and generals and big metaphysical depictions of Greek battles.
Oh that's nothing, the man in the black hat in the corner looks like he fled from a completely different painting and is trying to lay low until the heat dies down.
And also, I fear my jimmies cannot be rustled, rather, you may only prompt me to share knowledge, as this is a vital duty we must all carry out for the good of humanity at every concievable opportunity.
Absolutely glorious. I know you're probably still getting replacement implants for the hair you tore out over the kittens but I was wondering if you were interested in making these into a new option for Art Connoisseur System (ACS).
I keep a busy schedule, but I will see what I can do. Every single standalone item requires you to make a bgsm file, and then a material replacer, and then a static entry, and then a constructible object entry, the amount of labour for each individual painting is, on a good day, at least 2-3 minutes. Very tedious.

I'm gonna have to hold off on installing this one, then. Whatever changes about my SS from playthrough to playthrough, that sumbitch loves kittens.
UPDATE:

As per request of my wife. This took around 3 hours to make.
