THE BASICS
- This mod is inspired by the Netflix series Black Summer, where people turn into zombies on death
- Dying can cause humans, ghouls, and sometimes super mutants to turn into the undead
- Zombies, ahem, I mean ferals will keep getting up until their head is crippled, partially crippled, dismembered, their body is turned to ash, or four of their 'limbs' are dismembered. Just shooting them in the head once won't always do it, so make sure the job is done ;)

- You'll find yourself shooting down your enemies and trying to beat their head in with a club before they can turn
- Kill a bandit or two from a distance and watch their entire camp slowly convert into a zombie horde
- This mod will change how you play Fallout 4

REANIMATION (RESURRECTION)
- Default resurrection settings are set in line with the lore of the show, however these may be modified in the holotape as of version 1.4. Note that I'm judging you for doing this, because Rose was never given the chance to modify the zombies in Black Summer, so count your blessings ;)
- Race specific differences in becoming undead:
Humans & Ghouls:
- 100% chance to turn by default. Can modify as of v1.4
- takes 2-6 seconds to occur
Super Mutants:
- 30% chance to turn by default (super mutants were human once, so less likely to happen). Can modify as of v1.4
- takes 2-10 seconds to occur
- become 'glowing ones'
Ferals:
- will always get back up until properly killed by default. Can modify as of v1.4
- takes 2-4 seconds for this to occur

PREVENTING ENEMIES FROM TURNING
- Once an enemy is down, you can cripple or destroy their head to prevent them from turning.
- If you cripple two additional limbs between when the enemy "dies" and before they turn, this will also register as killing the undead. This is to compensate for the fact that sometimes you're standing over the body, trying to bash the head in, and their leg comes off instead, because it's Fallout.
- If someone is about to turn, you can stand over their corpse and hear it breathing, killing them stops this, obviously
- NPCs won't know to shoot the head, so there's a 40% chance by default that the feral will die if an NPC kills it to simulate this. You can modify this chance as of v1.4
- Dismembering an NPCs limbs, feral or not, transfers over to when it turns.. I.e. if you shot someone's leg off, their feral equivalent should have that leg severed as well.

EXTRA DETAILS
- Gear / Loot is maintained after turning undead. I.e. if someone had a gun you wanted to steal, they'll still have it
- If someone is secretly a synth (i.e. has a synth component in their inventory), they won't turn
- Hard mode available in holotape where heads / brains must be dismembered. Crippling the head / limbs won't be enough
- Ferals are leveled
- Enemies may shoot at / near the body of the fallen in an attempt to stop them from turning (they'll fail)
- NPCs have a chance to dismember the head of a feral when they kill it
- Options are available in a holotape craftable at the chem station

PERFORMANCE / COMPATIBILITY
- My computer is sensitive to high demand on papyrus, so I designed the performance impact of this mod to be barely noticeable. For instance, I can't run any of SKK's mods due to papyrus lag, but I can run this with 2 large groups from 'NPCs Travel' killing each other and turning undead with no real issues
- Also, I like small lightweight mods, so that's what I tend to make
- Should be compatible with everything except what is mentioned in the troubleshooting section. Let me know if something pops up though.

TROUBLESHOOTING / NOTES:
- The undead don't always get up exactly where their predecessor died, although its as close as I think anyone can get it. A get up sound plays so you're aware its happening.
- Support for critical hits (i.e. burned to death, ashpiles, etc) has been drastically improved, but there may be instances where it fails if another mod overwrites the 'AttachAshPile' script or attaches a custom ash pile / goo pile
- If you snipe someone from really far away, they may not have had a chance for the script to be applied (i.e. you're too far away) and so they may not turn. This can not be improved, unfortunately
- Custom races will not work unless they are the EXACT SAME race as the player. I.e. if using 'Special Race' means the player is 'Special Race Player' instead of also being 'Special Race', this mod won't work. I can't change that without EVERYTHING turning undead when it dies, which I'm not going to do.

WE MADE THE HOT FILES!

- I'd like to thank Netflix, Rose, the person who played Rose, and of course, all of you!
