in summary if you were to start a new game you're put in the void in the mirror part of the pre-war bit, the nora corpse doesn't spawn in properly in the cyro pod, and you cant pickup the pip-boy

This mod does what it says, but....
It breaks the precombines, creating endless visual problems.

You will see in cells and world spaces records.....
PLACED OBJECT and [PLACED OBJECT] records
The ones in [ ] are parts of precombines
This is just a tip to help people check mods or make mods

    Hello
I would love to try this mod out in a running game. My question is, will the lights in the settlements also stop shining?

Yes, but if you don't like it and remove the mod, everything returns back as normal with no conseguences

I understand this removes lights and helps FPS, but not giving me the ability to light up my own settlements now kind of defeats the purpose. It removes the hanging lightbulb completely from the workshop for instance. Sucks too, because this helped a lot, but if it removes things from being built then the areas I need lit up, like my base for example, won't have the needed lights to do so.

in fact the arrogant Version is deleted due to problems.
if you wish to restore missing stuff remove the mod,  go to steam, right click on fallout, click on propreties and search for "verify files integrity" or something else (I have it in Italian), and let it do the check up.

the arrogant version is more invasive givin you a higher fps boost removing also the font of light (removing lightbulbs, removing lamps and every static object that cast light), but i am working on a strange thing that make Starlight drive in disappear.

any chance you'd take a mod request? id like to see something similar on nexus but this would be to drastic for my PC gtx 970, i3 8100, 16gb ram.
be cool to have a mod that only removes troublesome lighting, places where its just unnecessary to have so much bulps, lamps, etc

my rig plays modded fallout 4 well due to tuning the hell out of it.

    a reduced lights mod

    thanks for the mod! cheers!

Definitely the nuclear option as far as performance boost mods go, but this is super based for that reason so even though i don't need it i'll download and endorse.

like, how chad is it to think "man my computer can't run fallout 4" and then decide the only logical action is to remove all lights. thats big dick.

i could keep lights , but play at 35-30fps  where some reflexes and precision is needed don't let me to enjoy a gameplay.
So i made this to solve the problem and now i have 60 fps everywhere.
Even on ps4 there are framedrop in Corvega or Diamond city suks or where wherever there are a lot of lights.
I prefere a smooth gameplay, also because with other my mod I sometimes have 50 and more npcs to face off.
I removed shadows reflection, lens flare, the LOD is far 100 units instead of some thoundsands and more other stuffs that i can't even see but are there just to drain some fps for nothing.
From a minimum of 20-25fps now i have ALWAYS 60fps, that is what really matter to me

Ah, a fellow "my computer is a potato" gamer.

Mine is older than FO4.  I got it to play City of Heroes back in 2012.

      Thanks for the graphics assist.

I had thought to do something similar a while back, because it annoyed me how many light sources were strewn around in the game and particularly in places where there was no human habitation.  While I wouldn't have gone as far as to remove ALL light sources I definitely would've restricted it to those places where there is actual activity and even then cut it down to be more realistic.  I started doing something similar in Skyrim because it annoyed me how well lit all the caves were.
