Attention everyone, i'm currently on vacation so all update for this mod will be made after i go back home with a stable internet, the only update that needs to be done is adding the Tau color scheme, it will not take long but untill i'm back home don't aspect to be realise soon.
i feel like it would be neat to have them as the railroad instead namely because the railroad dont have any mods making them a warhammer faction and with how they are "the greater good" and the railroad with their whatever it takes to our idea of the greater good fits well plus the relationship with the bos (basically the fallout emporium) but mostly because i need something for them to changed to
did you install my mod before starting a new run or after? because if you are doing from a save you have to use a bit of consoles commands. or if you are using other mods that changes the minutemen, load them before mine, and if that doesn't work i probably need to create a patch for it
Hey thanks for the reply, I actually got it working from a save ive been using since 2016, but now a new problem has come up causing the game to crash every time I have the minutemen as Tau enter into a battle, its literally replicated over and over again. starting a new save might fix it but in my case it is not possible due to the age of my game save. Any advice you can offer on this? This is quite odd becuase I have most every other 40k mod on the nexus but this is the only one that does this! Sorry for the long paragraph :) I really want to have the Tau in my game as they are my favourite race so any help would be great!
open the console command, click on one minuteman, and do recycleactor, if you don't know how to use this command you can find more detailed information on google

Hi, thank you for the mod, as a 40k Tau player thats exactly what i wanted :-)
If possible it would be cool if you added other colour options, i like my tau in White :-)
Also, does this mod work with We are the Minutemen mod, or some other mod that makes minutemen scale with levels? becouse they are kind of useless without it,
i could make a compatibility patch but i need permission from original mod creators, also i don't know. about the tau in white don't worry i will make it but now i am in vacation so i don't have much time on my pc.
Understandable. I have come across an issue and was not sure where would be best for a bug report and I am not sure which of the two mods is causing it. I am getting a freeze/crash with the two tau mods active. I then reinstalled and tried many many times with only 3 mods on a fresh game with them but still getting the crashes about every 5min or so, which leads me to believe it is one of the two mods.
(No issues with the two mods removed from my standard mod list)
Mods in use: -Fire Warrior-wh40k Tau armour and weapons -Minutemen to Tau -Another Life
Any Ideas for a fix would be greatly appreciated as I really want these to work.
strange i will look into that immediatly can you send maybe a crash report? if i remember right there is a file that says why the game crashed, me and my friends that help me test it didn't have a problem and they played for over a hour, also is a new save or old one?
I will try to get the report, have not been able to see it yet as after the freeze any attempt to tab out or use task ends up in black screen. My first test of the mods were about the same as the one you described. About an hour or so running great and then it started to do it as I entered fort Hegan (location probably irrelevant but for details). After the first freeze it just kept doing it regardless of trying on different saves, locations and new games after about 5 min or so in game. I uninstalled and deleted everything then reinstalled (2x). Still to no avail.
All tests were done on fresh new games separate from each other for optimal testing. Only mods that were used are the 3 listed.
SIDE NOTE: I did notice the pulse rifles shoot the standard green plasma rounds HOWEVER when it disintegrates enemies the animation is blue instead of green. Is the "Gorgeous Glowing Plasma Weapons" mod needed even though its not a listed requirement for either mods?
I will keep testing and try to get that report to you. Thank you.
about the gun shoting green plasma i tried to change it for personal use then if i got permission i would have posted but after 2 other people helped me which one is a really good moder we didn't manage to change it, also pls get that crash report file, so i can understand what the problem is.
hey man apperantly that error (Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows.) is more a windows error, i don't know why it only happens with my mod, try to update to the lastes graphic drivers and updating windows to the lastes version.
Everything is up to date and tested again with reinstall, verification ect. The only difference between not using the overhaul is the disintegration color and I have found that is not an issue. Everything appears to be fine with the MM overhaul and it seems the issue is with the Tau armor mod itself. It is still freezing and crashing after a few minutes in game with only using the tau armor mod alone so it must be the cause, it has nothing to conflict with. I just dont know what exactly it is but as soon as it is removed everything is fine. I sent a bug report to rascal in hopes someone else may have had a similar issue or if maybe rascal gets a chance to respond. I greatly appreciate the response and help with trying to problem solve
hey it might not work but, i know that some people were having same problem with other mods made by him (not all people just a few(the guy is a great modder (the guy that made the mod))) he said that you could try turning decal quality to none, i'm not 100% sure it will fix the problem but try it, it might works for you.
I gave it a try but still a no go. I really like rascals mods too and I agree he is good (hence why im trying everything I can to get it to work lol). I run on ultra everything normally and 55+ mods with large scale battles with no issue but I cant get the Tau armor/weapons mod to work even by itself :(

Yeah I even did a full purge and re download 3x. Still crashes with only the tau armor mod by itself, I have no idea why. I do sincerely appreciate you trying to help and I love your overhauls. I did have some fun with it that first hour it worked atleast lol and it was by far one the most fun MM overhauls I have used next to the Militarized MM. I shall just have to try again in the future or if rascal gets a chance to respond.
Do you think you can make the mod for Raiders or gunners? Because I don’t really wanna join the Tau. I just want to fight them. No offense for anyone that likes this mods.
no worries, it's not important like that lol just wishing there was a good wh40k sandbox rpg out there. I'm sure people will love using it. you do good work, I just wish I knew where to go to learn this stuff so could make games better myself. but if I had to choose factions that get no love and need the help I'd say the railroad, atom cats, and gunners need replacers real bad.
