Like others have said. I wanted to like this mod, but getting hit with 3 Vertibirds trying to do the Arcjet walk with Danse, 3 vertibirds while piper talks to Danny to try to get into Diamond city. 3 Vertibirds at Oberland station. 3 Vertibirds in Cambridge. It's just way too much.
If you're 100% just wanting to go out and run a minigun nonstop for a few minutes blowing up vertibirds for a laugh this is the mod for you. If you're trying to play the game this WILL get in the way of that unfortunately.
Had this in my load order for a week now with no problems, then again I did install the updates etc. that the author released later. In my game I don't find them especially difficult or numerous and I've got the SKK mods and feral mods and extra enemies ,PANPC 2.0 you need this BTW. Best part of the mod is vertibird battles ,I'm in my own vertibird (flyable personal vertibird mod) blasting the tunes and killing gunners, it works.
Feb 2025 - Changed and updated my LO and switched to FG , now I'm getting 5 vertibirds attacking near Grey Garden and the railroad bridge had to console in the kills cause they were everlasting .
I've been watching and thinking about this mod and I have one major question, "How many Vertibirds are in the commonwealth?". One picture shows three in just one space so I can imagine it's alot. I'd like them to have one, two maybe three mostly seen during the Quincy fight and again attacking the Plaza, possibly seeing one flying around from time to time, but it seems out of character for them to have noticeably that much, they would be stronger than the BoS. I do want to strengthen them up before Quincy and later the Plaza (a week ago me, Buddy (Dogmeat) and Cait took Quincy, what a let down :)) so I want to make those battles memorable, especially after hearing what such a momentous event that was.
I like this mod.; if you have played FO4 for a long time, you will too. It's not about petting kittens. The odds are stacked against you. but that's what makes it so entertaining. Yes, it needs some polishing, (gunners spawning too close,) but the overall concept is great. Works for me. Thanks for sharing.
i liked the method used for de-spawning after you kill them as more are spawned into battle, it makes my game run smoother than most spawn mods, that's what the gunner floating bags are about, which is totally fine with me, it's just crazy.
i have yet to test crime and punishment's disguise's to see if i can infiltrate their bases, but i love this idea anyhow.
holy crap, these dudes are tough, but i do wonder what will happen when i try to play with this loaded up on a new game, some crazy s#*! i'm sure, right now i have the entire commonwealth as minutemen central, so even though they are tough to fight with the minutemen, i'm sure they would be way tougher without the minutemen helping me in battle.
Mod sounds nice on paper but is horribly implemented and unbalanced. Insanely high level gunners will just materialize out of thin air during encounters
Great concept, but the mod unfortunately overcrowds the map with gunner vertibirds it's actually ridiculous.
I'm playing with deadly vertibirds so to take down 1 vertibird is really tough at low levels, with this mod I'm sometimes fighting 3+ at a time. This sucks.
The gunners having about 4-5 vertibirds across the whole map would be enough. With this mod they have more aircraft and better gear than the BoS, which doesn't make sense.
Ah man, I really like this concept but I'm really considering uninstalling this mod. A s#*! ton of Gunners spawning right before my eyes was already quite annoying, but the wors part is that I kept getting two-shotted by them during early game. I was like: "Well I'm weak and they got gear, it's unbalanced but kindda fair I guess..." but then I started getting one-shotted by Molotov's thrown by regular gunners... That's just bs.
