Works great! Just wanted to pass this off in case anyone else had crashes on startup:
This mod will not play well with Workshop Framework's Script Override. The override is an optional file that KingGath provided to ensure other mods in the load order wouldn't override WSFW and break critical functionality. I had this in my load order for this reason, especially since I like to export my settlements for future use. This caused a CTD when trying to get past the load menu.
However, WWR appears compatible with the base mod of WSFW. It doesn't appear to break anything in-game (that I can tell) when running both. Once I disabled the Script Override plugin, it worked fine. If you're in the same boat, you might be wondering if removing it will break something -- so did I. KingGath recommends using it only once you've gotten an error that some mod has broken your existing settlement. I installed it and forgot about it, even when starting a new game, so disabling worked fine and didn't break anything new.
I compared both plugins in xEdit, but I cannot determine why they arm wrestle. My hope was to give people a heads-up after a lot of troubleshooting.
any updates on the settlers using the racks?? i have 'Functional Displays' and i rarely see anyone use the racks on there. i need a good set of racks for a 'practical' Armory. also is compatible with 'FD'??
My settlers use these racks all the time. I find that if the weapons you display are stronger than the settlers default weapons they will grab from the rack. I also build small ammo containers underneath the racks with ammo for the displayed weapons. (The 5mm box works/looks great) That way I provide my settlers with stronger weapons AND access to ammo for those weapons.
Pro tip : Build as many ammo containers as weapons on your display. Then put 1 ammo in each box. (Settlers only need 1 ammo to shoot their guns) If you put 500 bullets in 1 box, the Settler will grab the whole 500, he wont just take what he needs, thus, the many small boxes with 1 ammo each.
It's broken because there is a file that modifies teddy bears. I fixed it by removing it and now I get to play with Functional Displays without crashing. It's so weird right? Why just leave in a useless file that breaks the game?
i tried finding them in workshop mode and couldnt find them. i tried both versions. my workshop menu is different but i looked in weapon racks and such. i have settlement objects unlocked and i think thats what changes it. please help?
If your workshop menu is different that's most likely the issue. I don't think settlement objects unlocked does that, but it's possible, or you may have a different mod that does so.

Hope this helps others too.
