    Hello,

I know you're probably over your head in other projects by now, but may I place a request for you to please look into the following mods :

    1/ CROSS Uni Headset
    2/ CROSS Courser Recall Collar

and ask if you could turn them AWKCR-free. My search to find such version of the mods has unfortunately been fruitless on the Nexus.

I know of one modder who provides such patches here. However he has mentioned in one of this pinned comments that 1/ was too much work.

As a rule of thumb, I think it would sad for the community to lose the use of *any* Niero's HQ mod in "modern" mod lists, especially 2/.

I see 1/ as a fitting replacement for anyone (role-player or not) who dislikes to wear helmets when not in combat (during dialogue cam especially, like me). With the popularity of Sim Settlements 2, I thought it'd also make a perfect headgear for a military faction commander (with the beret).

I would see 2/ as a fitting reward to whoever goes head on against the Institute to destroy them, not to mention one of a kind as far as I know as a stand-alone mod. It was a bit too easy to get the item in the original mod, but that's no the purpose of this discussion/request right now.

I'm also asking because you've already successfully released several patches to Niero's mods, as this mod proves. If anyone can pull it off, it would be you. I noticed that DankRafft created a tutorial to remove AWKCR dependency here, but I admit I haven't looked very deep into it for now. I'm proficient with xEDIT but of course haven't got your experience. The idea would also be for everyone in the community to benefit from these patches.

No harm in asking right, so that's what I'm doing.

Thank you for your consideration and sharing these already available CROSS mod patches in any case.

After further inspection of 1/, CROSS used an ESM for the palette swaps for one single ESP containing the headgear pieces.

Please scratch 1/ from my list.

As much as I like the mod, probably requires a whole refactoring prior to removing AWKCR, which wouldn't be serious to ask of anyone but perhaps the original mod author himself.

Actually, I already have compacted for ESL and NO-AWKCR versions of all CROSS and just need to publish the new pack.

Edit - I converted the ESM used by CROSS as a asset pack into ESL too.

You are amazing like that. We in the community should start calling you sensei by now (with a slight, respectful head bow).

Seriously though, thank you for the reply. I'm happy that good mods don't get lost, although they sometimes were built with antiquated methods. They just need a little push to become "modern" and enjoyed again. You and Exoclyps and Tenhats and... (I'm forgetting plenty, sorry) are the living proof of that.

      Please have a nice day/evening.

Everything works with new ECO.  It more or less does not have conflicts.

Well, it's been a few years now so I need to check all these in xEdit to verify interaction.  I believe the standard version should all work fine with ECO redux and the old ECO specific versions will no longer apply.

    4st,

Thank you for your mods and your complex item sorter enhancements, I downloaded many of your mods and my inventory and enemy inventory always make me feel good when I see those beautiful and correct tagged icons, I'm also starting learning the INNR of Fallout 4. I've already made an ini to tag Niero's 2077 armor by simply imitating this mod, and I must say it just works, the armor is tagged with [Fire] correctly

    Spoiler:
    Show

But there is one thing that confuses me, the ini you write is like this right?

    Spoiler:
    Show

    [prefilter:ARMO]
    * = IGNORE
    [INNR_RULES:CROSSdn_77DUPLICATE000]
    MODIFICATION_INSTRUCTIONS = check:1,1,15 neworder:0,1,R|2
    *=Fire

Personally I think the numbers in "1,1,15" are referring to the "VNAM-Count", which is the number of modifications we can see in the in-game workbenchs in each catagory.

    Spoiler:
    Show

And the numbers in "0,1,R|2" are referring to the index number of "1,1,15" and this is the exact text order we will see in game, am I right about all these meanings?

And if I'm right then what is the meaning of "R" in "0,1,R|2"? I looked your other ini mods such as the LAER and Service Rifle, and their "neworder:xxxxx" don't contain the "R", I'm really confused, could you please tell me if I'm thinking right and what is the meaning of "R"?

Check - This is the quantity of rules in the INNR.
New order - Order of the INNRs.  EX:  Ruleset 2, then ruleset 1, then ruleset 0

R - remove - it removes brackets which some mods have around some words
      | - adds a pipe so this part of the text is subscript.

M8r has documentation for all this.

    4est,

Thank you for your tireless work to improve the FO4 modding community. In an alternate universe, this could be a livelihood for you haha.

I wanted to ask a bit of a dunce question. I downloaded the ECO version of the COA and Strigidae patches, but don't see any tags. I downloaded the IEX patch that was the Complex Sorter to test, but still see no tags on those items either. I followed your PDF instructions as much as possible. The only thing I don't have is ACO, as I have never used it. Any help or insight is appreciated.

ECO patches are not needed near as often now.  Some might be used if there are conflicts.  The old COA and Strigidae patches from ECO are no longer supported and should not be used.

My patches here require the Enhancements II mod and the requirements listed in the installation PDF, including all components of complex sorter and FallUI.  ECO is a requirement for the INNR.  ACO shouldn't have been in the instruction for several months now.  ACO is very out of date.

Plus, changing mods naturally requires making new Complex Sorter output files.

Thank you for elaborating. I'll try rebuilding the Complex Sorter ESP with the proper files downloaded. Any suggestions on what to look for to ensure your files an ECO are working in tandem as intended?

Edit: I found my issue. As it turns out, the Look at Me Series that uses CROSS clothing renames and disperses the clothing/armor to other NPCs. I can safely assume that because of said adjustments, the INNR cannot properly do its job. Any suggestions to fix this manually? Maybe through FO4edit (which I can use somewhat proficiently)?  My goal is to use the icons/tags you've created of course. I've tried to go about implementing custom rules but the instructions go over my head. Any insight/suggestions is/are appreciated.

    UPDATE 21.11.15

Equipment and Crafting Overhaul users now have ECO patches to use instead of the standard files for:

     - Brotherhood Recon
     - Chosen of Atom
     - Courser Strigidae

** ECO Redux does NOT need patches

    Armor and Clothing Overhaul Users:
A Complex Sorter output file can show errors for the Recon, Chosen of Atom, and Courser Strigidae mods if you have the latest ACO and used the optional patches ACO_CBR, ACO_CC0A, and ACO_CCS.  This hurts absolutely nothing.  Complex sorter sees a different INNRs from the ACO patch and doesn't modify it as it normally would per the 4estGimp .ini file.  That works great since both Dank and I set our INNRs to the same format.  Plus, my icons are still added.

    The messages are:
Warning: INNR checksum for CROSSdn_Bos_recon doesn't match instruction set checksum - INNR checksum: 1,1,11,2,47 Instruction checksum: 1,1,11
Warning: INNR checksum for CROSSdn_CoA_Skin_Mod_Legendary doesn't match instruction set checksum - INNR checksum: 1,1,15,2,23,47 Instruction
    checksum: 1,1,15,23,49
Warning: INNR checksum for CROSSdn_CE doesn't match instruction set checksum - INNR checksum: 1,1,14,2,47 Instruction checksum: 1,1,14

THIS IS VERY OUT OF DATE INFO.

The pic is of my "Enchancements" on top of Complex Item Sorter.

It's listed in the installation instructions.
