I was wondering why this mod causes an adaptation glitch for me, that whole screen turning black before returning to normal. Only happens with this mod enabled.

This happens with the original NACX as well, so its not this patch´s fault, but I had hope this patch would had fix that issue.

Hello, the solution to that problem is the following - do not deactivate the ocular adaptation in the nac X MOD, since I manually fix the ocular adaptation. disabling the option in the NAC menu will give you black screen problems. if you use mods that overwrite the setting the tweak may not work

I always wondered exactly what caused this. It has been in the NAC mods since the first one. My latest play though, merged NAC X and True Storms. I deleted the quests in NAC. That removes all the FX, scripts and configurations and the blackout bug. I added all the weathers to the default climate(except the Nuke weathers). I then removed all the weather references from the region data(except glowing sea). The game then defaults to the default climate with the all the True Storms and NAC weathers. Also did this for Nuka World And FH. Random weather everywhere.  I did this so i could just drop that into my Fallout 4 VR and not worry about to many scripts running. I think some of the special weathers might not work with out the quests/scripts. Not sure, but the normal weathers all work. The Nuke weather from NAC and the Heavy Rad Thunderstorm from True Storms are scary in VR fyi :D

I am still suffering from the black screens. And I'm still wondering what exactly the author means by "ocular adaptation" in the NAC-X settings. I can't find an option called that.
Maybe someone can please give me a tip, maybe it's a translation problem on my part.
      I use NAC-X with NAC-ENB.

I only have cloud shadows as an option, there are no dynamic clouds. Did you mean cloud shadow?

PS: I'm trying it right now, seems to work. No black screen for two ingame days.
I owe you a debt of gratitude, it drove me crazy, sometimes for several minutes.

PS: days later - That's it! Strong. Finally :) A lot of thanks, aristidetorchia717

PLEASE make a walkthrough so we can do the same. I would LOVE to get rid of the GLowing Sea fire that has been there for months in game. Can't see anything out there and I typically enjoy questing in the GS.

Overall I love how it looks and I really enjoy some of the wather effects!  But the bloom is out of hand, and when I go to the effects setting and click on bloom, it does nothing except close the window, unlike the others that let me raise or lower the effect.  Is this an issue with the mod, or is it just crashing due to a bug?  Either way, what is a way I can cut it down a bit?  I look around DC the view is overwhelmed by huge blobs of yellow light (And with Percy, a big blob of red light with his jet)

I am placing a bounty. $50 for anyone who can help me get rid of the radiation  screen darkening effect. I disable it in the NAC X settings and it persists. I modify the image space modifiers in Fo4Edit and it persists. I uninstall NAC X and it's still there. I'm at a complete loss, I just want to be able to see

Does this tweak adjust underwater settings at all for ENB patch? It is crystal clear and looks quite silly when using it. Otherwise thank you so much for your efforts!

No, unfortunately the underwater error still exists when using the NAC-ENB. But unfortunately there is no alternative, since the other ENBs that I tested with NAC-X all made the interior lighting significantly less attractive.

You need to enable the games built in Depth Of Field setting for underwater not to look silly & ultra transparent.

Having a weird issue with shadow water only, where it shows up pink. It's not on the flat puddles, only the shallow water like this, and only some of them, not all of them. Odd.

I'm using the original NAC - X, this mod, Reactor ENB (1.3.5) and Luxor's NAC X Water LOD enhancements. Someone left a comment on luxor's page (now locked) that had the exact same issue, here's their image. Anyone know what this could be?

EDIT: Turned out to be Luxor's NAC X Water LOD. I figured this out during my testing weeks ago and conveniently forgot about it lol

So the culprit is Luxor's water lod fix? I had this issue sometimes ago on xbox as well and I thought it was Nac-x's fault.

UPDATE: This mod fixes it for me. I was able to use it with luxor's lod fix together as well but it the water fix mod needs to be at the very bottom of the load order for it to work.

Experiencing this same issue. I was annoyed with the foggy, washed out look of the volumetric lighting so I decided to turn it off for a bit. I'm looking to turn it back on to see if I can reduce the effect with other mods, but anytime I try to toggle it back on my game crashes. Can anyone chime in?

First thing I do is shut down the radiation storms. That's fine until I have to visit Virgil. After that, I can't get rid of the damn radiation storms, regardless of whether it's set to yes or no for the "Outside Hazard Zone" item.
This time no resetting helps, no weather change, nothing. I'm going from one radiation storm to the next with those stupid sirens wailing, which is actually turned off too.
Does anyone know a solution for this?

Sorry, I would like to ask if the performance optimization of this mod refers to reducing the memory usage of the graphics card (as my graphics card has large capacity memory, I am not sure if this mod is needed)

Great mod, finally gone the black screens. Thanks!
Has anyone had the experience too? The annoying sirens during storms cannot be deactivated, despite changing the settings. And the storms don't seem to stop anymore. They take turns for days.

I was getting the same problem with the sirens and the rad storm events.. they were so constant and bad that I had to uninstall NAC-X, sadly.

I disabled radstorms outside of the glowing seas. However, I had to reset the weather for the radstorms to stop.
What I like about the NAC-X and its accompanying ENB is the nighttime and indoor viewing. The NAC ENB seems to be the only ENB that doesn't torpedo the lighting mods (for example Enhanced Lights and FX).

Radioactive Rain is activated, but it doesn't seem to be coming. Oh well.

But unfortunately now the black screens seem to be coming back for some unknown reason. I haven't changed anything.
What does the author mean with eye adaptation? I can only find one menu item, "Adaptation", and it is activated. Am I missing something?

PS: The temporarily dark/black screens are now felt to be more and more common. Sometimes in such unfavorable situations that the game becomes unplayable. Is there no workaround for this? When I installed Nac-X and the patch, it wasn't like that. Just over time.

The dark screens can apparently be fixed by resetting NAC. At least part of the time, I'll keep an eye on it.
If the sirens and storms outside of the glowing sea don't stop despite deactivation and you use MCM, then that can be the cause. I uninstalled MCM and then disabled it again from the default menu, that helped immediately. However, I cannot judge whether it was necessary to uninstall MCM NAC, since I now only use the Hide Menu mod.
