So, I've tested this mod, without any other mods enabled. It works, sort of. The base version works good. However, the Plus version, does not remove the "wait" option when sitting down. The complete version does remove the "wait" option when sitting down.

In the description for the mod, it states that the Plus version, should remove the "wait" option while playing, but it does not. This leaves me in a conundrum, as I want the features of the Plus version, however, I must install the Complete version to get the mod to work correctly. The downside, the Complete version removes the bar at bottom of the screen, which I don't want.

I am not using the Next Gen version of the game (updates always disabled through Steam), and I tested with only this mod installed.

    Decisions...decisions...

Has worked for me (and the 18,000 other people who have downloaded it) for years.  The plus version does remove the "wait" option, this is clearly an issue on your end.  Check your .ini settings, your mod manager, and look at basic tutorials on how to mod FO4.  The files from "Plus" and "Complete" that affect the option you are asking about are literally identical.  Using one or the other should have no difference.  If you'd like to make your own, follow the link at the bottom of the main page> Guide

The PlusPrompts version which I've been using says its also removing the  "(button) Hold Breath" pop-ups but actually the Complete version is the only one doing it. It's kindda misleading. I dont wanna use the Complete version because it strips almost all prompts/hints.

PlusPrompts does remove the "Hold breath pop up".  Are you using any other mods that alter any "Interface" textures?  Try activating a workshop (just activate it and back out), and see if it reenables.  Also, the "Complete" version has the same files as the other versions, it just has more of them.  There are instructions on the "Description" tab on how to edit that version to get the features you want.

The Plus version works for me, "Hold Breath." However, it does not remove the "wait" option when sitting. I must use the Complete version to get that option removed. Like you, I don't want to use the Complete version, as it removes everything (bar at the bottom).

Doesn't work properly for me.  The crafting pop-up is prevented, but lockpicking and hacking aren't.

I have the tweaks made to Fallout4.ini and Fallout4Custom.ini, and I have the base version of this mod installed.  The only other mods I have installed currently are SKK Synthetic Player for the quicker start and a 1k texture replacer so my low-end PC doesn't complain.

I have also used the Complete version of this mod as well, and the .swf file related changes work fine.  It's only the changes made by this mod's .esp that seem to be messed up.

I thought it might have been due to the fact I was using the GOG version of Fallout 4 so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it in a fake Steamapps/common folder to see if that changed anything.  Interestingly enough, it did.  Before, when it was installed in a GOG Games folder like it is by default the crafting pop-up would also show up, where in the Steamapps/common version it doesn't.  But either way, the other pop-ups remain in effect.

Most likely it is the 1k texture replacer that is causing issues.  As stated on the main mod page, texture replacers can be an issue, specifically if they change anything in the "interface" folder.

      This .ini edit:

      "HOW TO REMOVE POP-UP TUTORIALS
To remove all other "pop-up" tutorials from the game add:
      bShowTutorials=0
to your Fallout4.ini in the "interface" area.  This covers the majority of tutorial pop-ups."

from the main page will remove almost all of the tutorial messages.  I believe this is what you are asking about.  The flood of "this is water, this is how you drink water...." and related pop-ups are covered by this step.  Disabling these messages makes Vault 111 and Sanctuary a lot more bearable.

If you are referring to the "button prompts" at the bottom of the screen:

These prompts are covered by the "Complete" version.  They'll still work, they just won't be visible.

It's cool if not of course but any chance of a version that just removes the "Hold (button) to open the Workshop menu" prompt? No clue what Bethesda was thinking having that be on-screen the entire time you're in a settlement.

Unfortunately, no.  The "Promptmenu.swf" file I've altered to remove that prompt also removes the other three listed (perk chart, wait, and hold breath prompts).  They are all combined into that one file, so if you move one, you move them all.

Actually that's not too much a deal breaker, those are just superfluous anyway. Would you mind uploading an optional file to remove only that batch of prompts?

      Easy enough to do yourself.
Scroll down to the bottom of the description page until you find the section labeled "File Structure", then follow the instructions.
You can delete any section of this mod if you don't want that particular function.

A quick glance at the files for Canary makes me think it will not conflict with this mod.  None of the files in Canary are modified by anything in this one.  It looks like Canary is using its own, created, pex files, it doesn't alter existing game files.  It is possible the ini edit "bShowHUDMessages=0" would effect Canary, but I wouldn't really recommend using that one anyway.  You simply lose too much info.

This mod alters specific files, that do specific things.  General notices and pop-ups shouldn't be effected, with the notable exception of the ini edit I mentioned above.

So, it's a nice mod, but it's not working for me. I'm assuming I did something wrong, but I'm not sure where. I downloaded and installed the mod through a mod manager of my choice, and enabled it, as well as adding the hud tweak to my Falllout4.ini. I removed the swf file for the button prompts, and yet those are the one thing that don't show up, while everything else still shows (aside from the Creation Club news on the main menu). My game is up to date, and I'm not getting any errors or crashes. What's going on?

Lets walk through a few steps.  First, have you done this:
Add the following lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini
      [Archive]
      bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
      sResourceDataDirsFinal=
(This is required for basically all FO4 modding)
edit: This can be an issue with MO2 reading a different .ini file than the one you altered, more about that below.

Next, I see you've downloaded two files, "Plus prompts" and "Complete", make sure you are only using one of those files.  If both are active they will conflict.  If you're not sure install the "complete" version and you can modify it as you wish.  Do NOT install have active more than one of these files at the same time.

Now we are looking at conflicts with other mods.  Do you have any other mod that alters any hud or display element?  If so look in your installed mod folder and see what is in them.  You are specifically looking for any .swf files that have the same name as this mod.  "ButtonBarMenu.swf, MainMenu.swf, and PromptMenu.swf".  If any other mods have files with these same names, they will conflict.  So you have to decide which mod you want working.  Delete the .swf of the mod you don't want.

Did the core of the mod work?  The pop-up info panes for lockpicking, hacking, and the workshop?
The esp portion of this mod alters one quest and two message entries.  If any other mod you have alters the same entries (Not very likely unless it is a mod that does the same thing), make sure whichever mod you want to "win" is placed below the other one in your load order.

Other than that, there could be an issue with how your mods/mod manager is installed.  Are other mods working?

"I removed the swf file for the button prompts, and yet those are the one thing that don't show up"  makes me wonder if you deleted the .swf from the correct folder.  Also, if you have "Plus prompts" and the "Complete" version installed active at the same time, this would explain why the "button prompts" are still hidden after you've deleted that file; that file still exists in the other version of the mod.  If the file was deleted, it should be showing the stock hud elements.  There wouldn't be any other instructions to alter the display.  Some file has to be affecting this.  You have an active "PromptMenu.swf" file loose in your load order.  My guess is you have multiple versions of ButtonBarMenu.swf active, causing conflicts and blocking them from working.

If the creation club news isn't showing up, that part of this mod is working, so something is going right.  This means "MainMenu.swf" is installed and not duplicated.

Which .ini tweaks did you enter specifically?  Did they work?  Also, where did you alter this .ini?  There are some issues with MO2 saving .ini files.  You might have altered the "game" .ini, but not the MO2 version of the .ini that MO2 actually uses (MO2 can also save profile specific .ini files, so if you change it on one profile, it will not be changed on any others).  I do all my .ini editing through the editor built into MO2, including the
      [Archive]
      bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
      sResourceDataDirsFinal=
      thing.
(Tools > Tool Plugins > ini editor)
Double check your "overwrite" folder as well, strange things can happen there.  That isn't likely to be the issue, but always worth checking.

tldr: I think you have two versions of this mod active at the same time.  Multiple .swf files of the same name, active at the same time, do not play well together.

There's a good start for you, let me know if you find anything else out and I hope this helps.
edit: sorry, don't use Vortex, so can't really support that manager as well, but I believe it is similar.
later edit: Looked into this a bit more, vortex apparently just reads the normal game .ini files, so shouldn't be an issue there.

    Hi. Looks like  cool mod.
Doesn't work on my end for some reason. Does the load order matter here?
Also, LOOT says: "This plugin has a header version of 0.92, which is less than the game's minimum supported header version of 0.95."

Hi, which one is specifically not working?  Also I cannot replicate that LOOT message, a screen-shot might be helpful.  Load order will matter if you have any other mod altering these specific tutorial files.  I haven't found any conflicts with the mods I am currently using, but there could be an issue.  It depends which one you want to have priority.  The one you want to work should be below any other conflicting mod.  In MO2 it should show you which, if any, mods have conflicts with this one simply by selecting it (look for color on the right bar), or double-clicking it and checking the "conflicts" tab.  Please let me know, thx.

Ok, might have found your issue.  You are likely using an older version of the game.  More info here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42497?tab=posts   . < this is a mod that might fix that issue (assuming this is the actual problem).  Also, if you have FO4Edit it would be very easy for you to fix.  Simply open the "TutorialsBeGone.esp" in FO4Edit, click on "File Header", on the right panel find "Version", then change the value from .92 to .95.  Save.  And that should do it.
Or, you know, just update your game.

Hi. Thanks for your prompt reply.
Well, speaking of the game version, I am using Steam and the updates are set to always keep updated.
I truly wish there was any new cool update of this game that I somehow missed *sighs*

Updated your file to .95 like you suggested and that cleared the Loot warning for me.
I did not test if the mod has started working for me as I am already past those tutorials anyway.

      Cheers!
