Great mod! Lots of mods do something similar to this, but I'm really liking that this one is dead simple and has a ton of variety.

This mod is pretty feature complete (v 1.02), but if you're still working on it and want suggestions, here are a couple:
    - A leveled list patch for the Minutemen and BOS settlers so that they can pull individualized outfits/weapons from other installed mods.
    - A few other settler types: regular Institute Gen 3 synths (I saw Refugee Synths in xEdit, but there's no grenade for them or regular Institute Gen 3's in game), Railroad Heavies, regular Institute Scientists (adds variety when paired with the refugee scientists), Coursers.

    ----

BTW, it would probably also be a good idea to leave a note in the description that this mod rebalances Lots of resource and other items like food, electrical equipment, purifiers, guard posts, stores, artillery, even traps, etc. It does much more than settler spawning; which can be good or bad depending on one's inclination. Easy to adjust with a patch, but much less so if you're unsure where the changes are coming from.

hello and tnx for the positive review, of course suggestions are always welcome
btw sorry for such late answer, truth is I had to step away from modding for a while, due to circumstances beyond my control.(it's a long story)
but I always intended to improve and support all my mods, just the fact that many of you guys still use my mods, is such honor for me (i'm sorry for my bad english)
long story short, you had some valid and good suggestions, for example the leveled bos soldiers honestly i didn't think of it at the time and when you said it I was like of course! why didn't I think of that! :D
anyways I liked what I read, and I'll try to come up with an update the first chance I get
tnx again for considering and endorsing my mod and plz accept my apologies for such late answer

Are the militia supposed to be killable? I found one of mine dead down by the water in Sanctuary.

not in the new version they aren't
anyways you can just spawn another one instantly,so i wouldn't worry about it...

Would you consider adding the 'Institute Refugees'?
They're a rare encounter that is very hard to trigger because the requirements are very specific. They're settlers you can (theoretically) get from the Institute if you issue the evacuation order.

oh do you mean the scientist? o_0 or the synth? if you want the synth refugees, i've added them already, but if you want the scientist, i'll add them in future updates...

Would be cool because their spawn conditions are very difficult to achieve.

Alright, I need to give an update on my experience. The spawn works great. I spawned 10 settlers and sent all but one to other settlements. The one that I assigned in place is the only one I now have. The other 9 vanished into thin air. I outfitted them before sending them out so I would recognize them later, but days and sleeps and fast travels later they are just nowhere. I still like the concept but will not be sending them out to travel in the future.

hi, so first let me apologize for the disappointing experience, i honestly never had this problem before so i'm not sure what's causing this... but i'll check and if needed, upload an update to fix the problem
but in the meanwhile, an easy solution would be to spawn settlers in the settlement you want them to be! since you can carry the grenades anywhere, there is no need to send them away on their own...

Thanks, that is my current plan. Like I said , I still like and endorse this, I am sure one can figure out why that happened. At least I gave them VTAW stuff that cost nothing to craft! I checked many times before concluding that they vanished, and that does still seem to be the case.

I have ghouls as BoS settlers. That's funny. I hope Maxson will never visit this settlement. ;)

can you customize their looks with slm and keep them that way after fast travelling back?

Question: If I don't send them to another settlement will they stay in the one they spawn into? Or will they wander off? I ask because with "full" settlements I can't send settlers anywhere. My only way to get new settlers right now is through Open Season Extended, which bypasses that settler cap.

actually when you spawn them, they don't belong anywhere at first ,unless you assign them to one of your settlements(including the one you're in when you spawn them). if you don't,they would just wander around the settlement doing whatever they please, maybe even leave the settlement after a while,i'm not sure...
there are several ways to bypass the population limit, there are mods and even bugs you can use! but the easiest way is to use a console command to increase your charisma. for example player.setav charisma 100

Not sure if I have a conflict or a bug but to your description line about about changing dialogue, everything I spawn has the default settler dialogue, including the special NPCs like Ingram and Teagan.

it's because they are also in the settler faction, otherwise they wouldn't do well together or with you! for example if you are an enemy of the BOS faction, the bos settlers would attack you! and the nagging about hunger or hot weather is the default dialogue for those who are in settler faction... so,sorry about that...
