  1. I'm not the best modder and am still learning things. When I use MO2 it keeps saying "this mod doesn't look right" error and pops up a box showing <data> and then your mod file underneath. I have the LooksMenu mod installed and activated. Am I missing something here or a step that I somehow overlooked? I really love how your Piper mod looks, and your Cait one too, and want to add them to my game. I'm not sure what to do to fix it though and get it activated.

Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day. :)

Sorry for such a late reply! The reason is that this is not a mod in and of itself, and there is no auto installation. You have to download the file manually to your downloads folder, and move the file to the designated location, and then apply it yourself.
    2. Thank you for the response! I think I figured it out back then...but... hey maybe this will help someone else in the future. xD

    Thanks JaneKoopman2001,

Finally. a Piper makeover where Piper still looks like Piper. Fantastic job. I have only been using mods for a year now - and I'm still learning, so people like you are life savers until I can progress onto the whole Looks Menu and Body Slide thing. Much appreciated.

I hope that 2.5 years later your modding exploration is still going strong! I hope the look did you well for as long as you used it!

Love the mod, looks fantastic - still unmistakably Piper while freshening things up.

That's the idea! I'm personally not a fan of the mods that make the characters unrecognizable. That's why I made my own!

She's 23? I always thought she was older. The harshness of the post apocalypse would make everyone look older, I guess. Tough times make adults  of kids.

I know! She looks closer to 32 than 23. That's why I made this. Tighter skin, slimmer build, smoother face, with notable faded scars because it's the waste land, and as Piper says herself, she's "Very successful". Please consider downloading, or try your hand at changing her up yourself! All the same to me.

Where did you get that she's 23? I couldn't find her game age. There seems nothing official. All I've found is some folks vaguely infer she's probably no more than 10yrs older than her apparently 13-ish looking sister. But she could be 20yrs older (or more if they had a different mother, or one was adopted). That said, it's good to know if we ever tire of old Piper we can turn her in for a younger model.

Btw, I wonder if they based her on Nora - either on pupose or maybe just adapting her preset, or simply the aesthetic likes of the artist. Either way, by appearing in her early thirties like Nora, she's closer to Nate's (and thus the player's) age. And that would fit in with her hair-raising tales too - it'd be difficult for a 23yr old to have lived as much life, and then all the career antics, that Piper has.

Well, the lore as you said, says that she can't be much more than 10 years older than her 13 year old sister, and so I used 23 as a general marker for her age difference, since she dose indeed look much older in Fallout 4 than I'd imagine a 23 year old to look. I'd guess more of a 35 year old based off of the body alone in the base game. And if we assume she is 23 she's had 5 good years of adventure under her belt, or more depending when she started, and is fisty for more, which does fit her character.

Why not just do it yourself? It wont take much time. Simply start a new game, summon the Human curie entity to your location, open her looks menu, save her face as a preset, and then go back to your regular save game and apply the normal look. If you want more specific instructions on how to summon the correct version of Curie, or how to correctly apply ANY looksmenu preset to your Curie NPC, look in the description of this preset I made. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44272

I think you misunderstand. If you want to return your curie to looking like the original model, you need to first create a new game where Curie hasn't been edited. Then you make that unchanged look into a preset, and apply that look to the curie you want to change back to normal. To save time, in the new game you'd make to get the unchanged looking Curie, you could just summon her in even before the bomb fell, and save her look as a preset. Then hop back into your regular save and apply the preset to the changed curie, to make her look like original.

oops sorry i forgot to mention that Curie in my current saved game is vanilla synth curie, shes not modified in any way. i just want vanilla curie looks for my player character.

i just needed to know how to save her vanilla looks in looksmenu so i can apply it to my character, but i think i already figured it out. Since i already had vanilla curie, i enable console command, clicked on curie and used the id she had, I opened the console again typed in "slm (whatever her id was)" and from there i saved her preset, however i do want to know if i did it right.

Well, Curie is an odd NPC unlike others. What you did may have worked, and the only way to make sure is to test out the preset you've saved. But what makes Curie different from other NPCs is that she has 2 forms, robot and synth, and no matter which she's in, the game wants to use the same ID to identify that character with, so that Nany curie and Synth curie don't need to be classified as separate characters. So, what Bethesda did was they made the robo and synth curie separate from eachother, but then they projected either of those models onto the base character ID for Curie the character, depending how far along her personal story you are. So that's 3 ID's for Curie. Her robot model ID, her human model ID, and then the ID of the Curie Character you actually interact with in game, which can visually match either of the previous IDs at any time. (They did this so that in scenes not connected to Curie's personal quest where companions have a chance to cut into conversations, they didn't need to check and see if either the robot or human curie were there, it would make those 2 checks into 1.)

So, perhaps the correct model data was copied into your preset, in which case no problem. But if your game crashes or glitches out, load an old save, and fallow the part of my tutorial that describes how to get the right Curie spawned into your area, to copy that Curie's looks instead. I'm sorry that this was probably confusing but I hope I did an alright job at explaining it.

Follow the directions in the description, and place the json file into the specified folder. You will be able to apply the preset to Piper via looksmenu by typing in the stated command in game when Piper is near. Load it from the presets option.

I think you uploaded the wrong file, the file says "Piper CBBE Body 1.2"

Is it supposed to be a body preset or?

Thank you for the question, and excuse me for the confusion. The naming convention may be odd, but I use it to separate my CBBE and non-CBBE presets. A preset without body tweaks would just be names "(Character) 0.0" But since this preset tweaked a specific body type, CBBE body, I labeled it "(Character) CBBE Body 0.0". This is just so that when I'm using a different body, I don't needlessly use a CBBE body tweaked preset. The preset should still work fine if you don't use CBBE, Just don't expect the body to change any.

Despite the name of the file, the author indeed uploaded a looksmenu preset, it's just not going to the right folder automatically, which is Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets. Putting the json file manually into this folder should show the preset correctly. Besides that, it tweaks the face AND the body. All this is mentioned in the description.

find your way through the following files. Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets

This preset uses LooksMenu mod to install it as a preset, and CBBE mod for body tweaks, but it should still work fine without this body installed.
