Already had it as a raider spawn but its tied into my AWKCR so I need to remake all new esp's one at a time for all the changes I did. I also will be making a plugin for several clothing mods to mesh together and replace some of the outfits and factions. Anyway I think I will change it to scavs because that would separate them a bit more.
Really depends, its a high quality piece for sure but the running theme with my games is logic on equipment distribution as well as i can. So although there are quite a few leather jackets I would use I wouldn't use that one for my game just because I couldn't see that ever having been a mass produced piece. Also you have to think about who wear some of the things you are replacing so for example if I replaced the road leather with that then you would see a lot of raiders all wearing that rather specific ornate piece. I personally use the mercenary pack then did some mass model swaps using galtec gear and elinora's outfit compendium so its all compatible and replaces alot of the in my opinion lower quality vanilla gear or out of place for the setting I created.
@Kadner Hey i like your idea and your logic there, would you be able to share the file for those model swaps? Or maybe if you don't want to share your personal swaps, maybe something similar? I also like to make my game a bit more modern feel rather than a retrofuturistic feel when im modding it. I also agree with your opinion on Cross 2077 mod, its a really good quality unique piece, but would be really weird seeing it replace such a common clothing item, it definetly would not feel like a post-apocalyptic world anymore in my opinion, its something i would rather see in a specific NPC, or maybe a follower, or just something for the player. I feel the same for weapons. Let me take the recently released amazing Combined Arms mod for example, i wouldn't do something like this replacer mod in my game (no hate on the author, just my personal taste), it just doesn't feel right replacing the most common guns in the game with such high quality tacticool guns, i would like to see them rarely rather than everyone with all those powerful and such clean modern looking guns. I'd rather see them on lets say the Gunners, Minuteman, BOS or another militarized faction rather than everyone in the wasteland. So even tough i really like that mod, i would rather see a more limited appearance. To me it makes more sense. Im kind of bad in expressing myself in english sometimes, but i hope you understand my point.
Everything I did is all tied together with various mods here and there but yes I will be creating replacers for those mods that are compatible with the others mentioned along with a list eventually with mods intended to run with mine. I agree with you about the issue with everyone running around geared to the teeth however I actually do use combined arms along with modern weapon replacers but with some changes. So for instance all weapons will be balanced out so that each has its own advantage for example a p226 will be stronger than a Glock but the Glock will have fire rate and mag cap over the Sig, also some ammos will be reworked to achieve this same end i.e 5mm widely available but weak so to counter for late game it becomes equivelent to a 5.7 round and adds armor piercing for all applicable ammo conversions. As for distribution I chose the same path where raiders are running around with rougher looking uzis and aks etc while gunners and brotherhood would be more towards tactical weapons. I stress this park I DO NOT implement really clean sparkly weapons or cursed gun modifications they all get cut.
