    UPDATE 2.0 Features

To update shut down the quest via holotape then select restart.

NOT COMPATIABLE WITH PET ANY DOG
I built a system that functions similarly.

Stage 4 has been replaced with Visual Hallucinations

Night Terrors now happen at stage 2 rather then stage 3

10 new sound FX for auditor hallucinations and catch to prevent the same line being played back to back

Nuka Cola now improves mental health

Lover's embrace improves mental health IF you get your 8 hours of sleep (to prevent spamming).

Petting Dogmeat or Other wild dogs (with animal friend perk level 1)
Will improve your mental health. This action can be preformed once every 24 hours.

Traveling with Dogmeat/having him as active companion will improve your mental health.
You must travel with him continually/having him as active companion for 6 hours It will improve your mental health by 1 for each 6 hours.
You will receive a small notification in the corner "Dogmeat loves you".

Would be an excellent integration with non-lethal armory and K.O. mods. Though I don't see a list of which NPCs or TYPE of NPCs affect this.

I would recommend (if not already this comprehensive, as no NPC list etc.) that almost ALL human kills affect this. However in differing degrees. For example:

-Killing raiders/gunners/etc. only have 25% effect (as eventually you have to admit to yourself you are killing tons of human drug addicts or otherwise wayward humans, not monsters, however killing them when not first attacked may be higher as you could have let them live).
-Less threatening but still hostile humans at 50% (like scavengers)
-Enemy factions at possibly 100% (as you recognize they are only enemies bc of differing views)
-Innocents like shop keepers or non settler commonwealth citizens etc. at 150% or 200%
-Settlers and innocents of your own settlements at 200%+
-And finally companions and friends as like 1000%

If you want this to be true PTSD you must include all humans. Having family members who served, i can tell you at some point or another they all question themselves and cannot deny that no matter their intent, enemy humans are still humans and still have people they love and who love them. This realization has a lot to do with the whole experience.

In a previous playthrough, under my old account (check my profile) i posted many images of my progress making 5-10 settlements into prisons, using knockout framework, non lethal armor & abduction mods. This allowed me and my companions to K.O./collar and enslave enemies and send them to these prison settlements (often quarry settlements or underground ones) and felt like I was taking into consideration these "enemies" as humans and not just monsters with human faces. It felt very immersive and responsible as someone trying to reestablish a sense of law and order (remember the protagonist is either an honorable military man or a lawyer) and I think redesigning this mod this way would incentivize this way of playing the game and would personally be a wonderful addition to my style of play.

Thank you for your time. I yield the floor.

great mod, i only dont like that hallucinations can push you and stop conversation with other npc, i had to start the conversation with Piper after killing Kellog like 4 times because of this, and then i was pushing buttons to go very fast in the conversation to no get interrupted and have to start again,  also i took all the chems in the commonwelth and this particular effect never gone lol i had to reset the quest and i felt like cheating, well i dont mind haveng the effect for life but not when it gets physical lol

Been looking for a Sanity kind of mod, guess I found it.

Only problem is that theres no MCM Menu for it.
Can you maybe patch in an MCM menu?
    Advance thanks.

this is exactly what i've been looking for! i will always hate that classic ludo-narrative dissonance in some games where your character can kill an small country's worth of people and just act like nothing happened. this solves that problem! thank you so much!

Thanks for this wonderful mod. I have 3 questions for you.:1-How can I launch the mod using the console?(it's like I've already killed 10-20 raiders, but without killing them)
2- To change the first stage to one or two murders, I have to edit the parameters in F04edit: Global- MH_add1 from 10 to 1. And the parameter MH_sub1, which is set to 5 by default, should I change the multiple of the parameter in MH_add1? so if I want to set MH_add1 to 2, then will MH_Sub1 need to be set to 1? And if I want to make 1 kill, then I will have to put the number 0.5000 in MH_sub1, will it work?
3 is the craziest question. As you can see, I have the skills to work with Fo4edit. Tell me, can I make sure that not only people are killed, but also, say, animals and ghouls? How do I do this? Thank you in advance.

So decided to give this mod a try after adding some mods that add ferals and creature spawns all over, more raider camps, patrolling raiders. Overall, makes the Commonwealth a lot less predictable despite how many hours of playtime I have.

The auditory hallucinations are really messing with me. Is that Gunner shout real? That synth? Those gunshots? 1000 hours of playtime can't tell me anymore. Even had a moment where I mistook a sound for a hallucination and ignored it until it hit me. Can't trust anything, feels like a horror game now.

So anyway. Quality mod that's gonna stay in my load order forever.

did a full enclave playthrough using this and America Rising 2. During the assault on the brotherhood, I was killing so many people it was outpacing my characters rampant drug habits and the hallucinations were f*#@ing wild. I like to think that it got so bad that after the battle my character offed himself and that was the end of that playthrough. 10/10 mod, would consult the VA hospital for treatment.

This mod has jumpscared me so much, the baby and the gunshots are terrifying to hear while wandering alone in a dark,  derelict building. 10/10. It really made me jump.
