This bug is another example about how the Brain Damaged Lazy Beth's programmers are totally unable to handle sounds into EVERY Beth's game. (Similar bugs in FO3, FNV and Skyrim). Not counting that bad sound handling about cache or memory is often the primary cause of crashes.
Many thanks! I don't suppose you could throw in the Codsworth exhaust sound. It tends to stick around even when some mod or other (Automatron included) has him no longer hovering...
I have 5 settlers with this bug, and frankly it's inevitable. With companions you can just order them to the bench which fixes it, but with settlers they're stuck so thank you for saving me the trouble of doing it myself or killing the settlers.
