I don’t want to be too picky, but since you’ve already decided to install such a cheat mod, just open the console, click on power armor in it, and write the command: setownership. And you are good to go.

The point of this mod is so you don't have to constantly do that for every Power Armor you come across, or PA that another NPC has taken from you.

And I am very glad for this. This mod and the pathing fix are great time savers.

Now if only I could figure out the bug where my keyboard will stop working for in-game inputs until I save, quit, and restart the game. It is NOT this mod as the issue occurred before I tried this this mod.

Since installing this mod I am having the opposite problem. Whenever I exit my PA and come back it is no longer owned by me. Too many times "caught stealing" my own PA and only since this mod was installed.

That's pretty wild, since of the tens of the thousands of downloads, you're the first to experience this. If I had to guess I would say it's another mod's script overriding this one's and causing the bug. This mod's script simply cannot do what you claim.

"another mod's script overriding this one's and causing the bug" ? maybe you guys have the same other mod installed that's causing a conflict

If it's caused by a conflict, it's probably something in The Midnight Ride modlist, since this is on it. I'm having this issue in one specific location only, Doctor Amari's lab in the Memory Den. If I remove my power core, the moment I re-insert it, the game considers it hers. Once I enter the power armor she starts shooting. If I leave my power core in, there's no issue.

since the script is loose people would see if another loose script overwrites it

for perfectly for me! it's kinda ridiculous when killing raider before he gets to his power armor is considered "stealing"

I have the exact problem with doctor Amari and nothing is overwriting the script (I have them all unpacked). Must be something specific in this quests scripts.

This happened to me alot. Had to remove the mod because of it.

You can easily test it, leave the Power Armor in a faction owned CELL (Dugout Inn should work), remove the fusion core and come back later, when you put it back in the frame it will receive the stolen tag.

Just to let people know, script conflicts won't show when they're in .ba2.  In MO2, a loose script won't show a conflict with a conflicting script in a ba2 archive.  The same goes for all file types.

Hi . Are you interested to bring it to ps4?
I saw mods which let you scrap power frame and create frame with that but i prefer disable stolen red words of power armor from a raider.

PS4 doesn't allow mods that have external assets, which is what the script counts as. Sony is the reason it's that way.

However, this can be made for XBox by making an ESL marked esp, putting the scrpts inside a ba2 file that goes with the esp, then uploading both to bethnet for Xbox.

Just had Greentop unfriend me after I helped them out with some ghouls, all because I moved a piece of Power Armour from another location to their settlement, then tried to re-enter it while in their boundary.

So, this should help with avoiding further nonsense like that! Thanks.

This mod does not prevent NPCs from stealing my power armor, and therefore is functionally useless. Yes, I have it installed correctly.

    Thumbs down.

As explained in the description, no more stealing refers to the act of you taking over an NPC's power armor no longer being considered an act of stealing.

NPC's default behavior of using any unoccupied power armor lying around is unchanged.

So maybe you need to learn to read. Thumbs down.

bro do you know how to read? it never mentioned anything like that.

anyway, a way to prevent npcs from stealing your power armor is taking the fusion core out of it when you are not using it

If you don't leave the keys in your car, you don't leave a fusion core in your power armor. You're finding issue with a completely preventable problem.

This mod's function has nothing to do with preventing NPCs from stealing your Power Armour in the first place, you idiot.

I assume your not using any mod manager, in which case you can install this manually.

      1) Pick the version you want and press MANUAL DOWNLOAD.
      2) Unzip the file, and inside the folder will be another folder called Scripts, now copy this folder.
      3) Go to where you installed Fallout 4 (something like
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4)
      4) There you will see a folder called Data, go inside it.
      5) Now paste the folder we copied earlier, and press yes if asked to confirm.

Hmm... for some reason not working when I downloaded using vortex and apply it.

In that case, download the file without using vortex, and copy and paste it directly into the FO4 directory.

Those icons are from my sorting mod. In fact nearly every sorting mod these days should support them.

Someone asked a similar question before, scroll down and you can see my detailed response.
