Great idea, but it looks terrible, tbh. I downloaded the Milky Way version and instead of one texture that filled the sky and actually looked realistic, it tiled and looks fake and awful. Please fix this! I would love to use this if it actually worked.
Hi, If your still interested in getting this mod to work, you can check out and use the framework provided in my mod here http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19127/?

Modded Skyrim had some of the most beautiful night skies I've ever seen in a game, and I hope we get something like that eventually. The only star mods up until this point have been boring black and white dots. I'll try the galaxy version and see how it looks, but I can't see it coming anywhere close if that image is at all representative... :/
Sadly, they look really weird as the image seem to tile in order to cover the sky, so there are very obvious seams all across the sky where the edges of the image don't quite line up properly. It's a shame, as the milky way version would be the perfect sky for my tastes if not for those awful seams.
It's a damn shame they made the sky tiled and not a single smooth mesh. Thank you for the effort though. Just the screenshots are quite useful in figuring out how it patterns.
