That looks fantastic! One question though, can the handle be longer? and maybe made to look like rad stag antler?

I thought the handle looked a bit short for such a long weapon too.
The story was really good too!

Agreed, I really like the story too.

I am actually going to be using this as a combat blade for my Space Wolves (Warhammer 40K Space Marines). I scaled the size back a little though, so it would be more the size of a combat blade. Other than that, it is a fantastic long knife and I am honored to use it in my game.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the handle.  Modern seaxes are one-handed, and between the size of a bowie knife and a machete.  Beagnoth is oversized, like in the story, it's a display piece, it's over a meter long.

Of course the original handle is long gone.  They found it in a river after 800 years.

I'll experiment with it, see what looks good.

I actually have several functional Viking/Saxon Lang Seax's (and they are sharp enough to shave with.). I used to do Viking Living History Re-enactments, and I still own a large assortment of functional reproduction items. That's why I asked about the handle. That blade actually still has small traces of European Stage antler embedded in the metal, that's why I asked about it. ;) The name of the Runic language/writing also comes from that long knife. The first few letters spell out Futhark, which is what the runic alphabet is named after.

You did a great job on it though.

Here's the original for those who have never seen it.

This means a lot, coming from a collector. Although, if your look close, you'll see I put the runes on the wrong side of the blade.  Otherwise you can't see them in most view modes. It should also be noted that while the original in London still has the hammered-in gold and copper of the runes, mine does not, it just has the grooves. I considered putting them in, but it looked kinda janky (I'm still new at this texture thing). Maybe when I figure out textures a little more, I'll make a 'Special Edition' or something.
