About this mod

A fully rebuilt and updated version of Projectum Aetherus was long overdue, so I decided to make a sequel/special edition/whatever

Projectum Aetherus is one of my most popular mods, both on the Nexus and Bethesda.net.  In the process of going through my old mods for bug-fixes and whatnot, I found PA to be really amateurish.  It's an early mod, and many of my forms, scripts, and files are just...  bad.  I fixed what I could, based on what I've learned since then, and I added a bunch of stuff to the mod, so I decided to make it a sequel.

This mod is standalone and does not require the original.

V 1.2 Fixes summoning spells and some other little stuff

STUFF THAT IS (MOSTLY) THE SAME FROM THE FIRST ONE

Potions - Didn't change the potions.

Arcane Workbench - It got a new model, but it is still where you craft everything. Still need a skull to craft it.

Arcane Powder - Still made from Abraxo, still required for EVERYTHING

STUFF THAT IS COMPLETELY, TOTALLY NEW

Wands - A new weapon, kind of like the Fire Sword and Lightning Sword in the old version. Wands come in a variety of types, and can be crafted to cast the old spells. All the old spells are now ammunition for the new wands (the spells also have a cool new inventory model).
  • Aetherus Wand - Your basic wand, casts a basic array of combat and utility spells such as Fireball and A Sunny Day
  • Gnarled Wand - A Nature Wand, mostly used to summon creatures and weather.
  • Institute Wand - The Institute dabbled in magic but couldn't get much out of it. They were never able to discover the source of Arcane Powder, so only had access to what was already refined when the bombs fell. Casts a hodgepodge of spells.
  • Grey Wand - A Necromancer's wand, this can summon creatures of ill intent and cause Radstorms.
  • ??? - Rumors circulated before the bombs fell of a powerful wand made by a rogue wizard in Boston.

The Basement - If you look in Shaun's closet in your old house, you'll find a door that shouldn't be there.  It leads to The Sole Survivor's Sanctum Aetherum. Down here you'll find the Codex Aetherus, some supplies, and your first wand and arcane workbench. There's also a computer bank with some interesting notes on it.

For the record, here's the old description:

Projectum Aetherus was a secret cabal of wizards dating back to before the Middle Ages.
The sole survivor and their spouse were covert members of this elite
society.  Members have the ability to create and cast powerful spells,
as well as potions and other alchemical formulae.

Since the great war, and being frozen for two centuries, the Sole Survivor has been
unable to contact any other extant members of Projectum Aetherus.  They have chosen to carry on the traditions of the order as if they were the last surviving member.

Prior to the war, a member of Projectum Aetherus could rely on the organization's global network for mystical supplies.
With no such network in place, the Sole Survivor is forced to, well,
make do.

The Arcane Workbench
All of your spells and potions will be crafted here.  These are powerful and require you to obtain some specialized material ingredients.  Because Projectum Aetherus has always been a secret organization (and because I have no art
skills), it looks pretty much like a Chem Station.  But, I did put a
skull on it to make it look all mystical.

Arcane Powder
This is the basis for all of your crafting.  Before the war, it was smuggled worldwide to members of Projectum Aetherus hidden in the chemical makeup of Abraxo Cleaner.  You can still extract the Powder from Abraxo with a spell involving readily available
fertilizer, and any kind of bone you can find.

Spells
Each requires some Arcane Powder and an item you might have to go looking
for.  For example, Fireball, the most powerful fire spell, requires a
gold-plated flip lighter.  There are destruction and conjuration spells
of varying strengths.  Spells are equipped and used like grenades.

Potions
Potions are incredibly powerful, but very delicate mixtures.  As such, they can
only be housed in the the most particular of vessels.  I am referring,
of course, to Crystal Liquor Decanters.  Each potion requires one, which
is returned when the potion is consumed.

True Alchemy
Projectum Aetherus financed their organization by the discovery True Alchemy.  The Arcane
Workbench allows you to convert Steel into Silver, Silver into Lead, and
Lead into Gold.  Each step requires Arcane Powder.
