cool mod, but after i inspected your ESL file i noticed a discrepancy between what is shown on this mod's description page and the downloaded ESL. The weapons damage wasn't altered from 32 to 50, but to 36. and i noticed that your changelog said that it was altered from 40 to 36. i suggest an edit.
So from what I see in the creation kit the author's changes are from the vanilla 30 to 36 energy damage. For the post below, I couldn't find any weapon that does electric damage (even though the option is there) so I think the author is just using the words electric and energy interchangeably. My guess is the author first put it at 50 (which is the alien blaster damage level) but thought it was too high and dropped to 40... and then 36.
The only other change I see is the gun's reload from 1.0 to 1.5 and capacity to 150 from 15. I dropped it to 60 like FO76 and put it back up to 40 damage on my personal esp.
Anyway, I think the mod is fine. But yeah needs the description updated.
EDIT: Tried out the changes. Basically killed everyone in Diamond City in like 30 secs. My char is kinda high level though. But it worked fine. Full auto at 40 damage is pretty powerful. I can see why the author dropped it to 36. The trapper projectile hits look good.
Sorry, only saw this now. It's mixed in with one big ESP that I make for myself that includes tons of changes and fixes. For anybody else it would be considered dirty af.
However, it super easy to get the creation kit for FO4, and edit just the Tesla rifle. Check around for the other tesla gun upgrades as it looks like there's a lot.
Edit: Plus I'd probably have to get someone's permission since they thought of it first. I don't think many are responding these days.
crit effects are managed separately and this mod doesn't change them as long as the weapon has the keyword all weapon mods would work with crit effect mods
