Special thanks to Terenor82 for making a video tutorial on how to fix bugged mod weapons for VR, and for taking the time to teach me the things I needed to get started with VR fixes for weapon mods. This guy always went the extra mile to help me and none of my VR fixes would be possible without this absolute legend!
This mod fixes the hunting shotgun so it can be used in VR safely. Without this fix, if you so much as even look at the hunting shotgun reflex sight in the weapons bench, you will crash. If someone spawns with one of these, you will crash. With this patch, no longer an issue. The issue was something to do with the glass shader in the reflex sight, I replaced it, and now it works just fine.
It's not perfect, for some reason I couldn't get the reticule falloff to be as perfect as in my other mods, and the reticule visibility also isn't as good as in my other mods, but considering its a shotgun that will be used at close range, its good enough.
Let this overwrite the hunting shotgun mod if asked. The mod is a loose file and the original is packaged in a .ba2, so as long as you're set up to load loose files you're good to go.
