This mod is my take on the "get critical hits outside of VATS" premise. There's a good one already out there, but I thought this idea was a simpler implementation. Each damage perk (Rifleman, Gunslinger, Commando, Iron Fist, Heavy Gunner, and Big Leagues) will give you a 10% chance of scoring a crit at rank 3, 15% at rank 4, and 20% at rank 5. At rank 4 and 5, these crits will be more powerful than VATS crits, which adds an extra layer to combat, in my opinion: Do you play it safe and score a manual crit? Or do you roll the dice and try for a more powerful one? Also, I think rolling these effects into the damage perks adds a nice little reward for specialisation.
As an aside, yes, legendary "on crit" effects will work. Go absolutely nuts with Freezing weapons.
This mod is not compatible with anything that modifies Gunslinger, Commando, Rifleman, Iron Fist, Heavy Gunner, or Big Leagues.
