awesome mod but aged poorly as it needs tactical reload.. a mod that does not work for me on NG version of the game.

One weird issue I had with this mod is that this gun sounds like ass in slow motion. Then I found out it was using a vanilla sound, probably didn't change from whatever vanilla entry it used so I fixed it.

    Thanks for the mod!

Ah, I just said why it feels so familiar to use. I came back specifically to take a look at the creator, and you also made a mod for the M4. The AN94 and M4 have great workbench modifications in the game, and they also come with their own paint. However, the problem is that the damage of both mods is slightly lower. At least the M4 can choose special bullets to compensate for the damage. In the high receiver, burst bullet, and+100% damage mode, there is still 60 basic damage and 30 radiation damage. The AN94 only has a receiver to choose from, but in the advanced receiver and+100% damage mode, it is only 49. Moreover, AN94 bullets can only be created by oneself or found in boxes, and if created by oneself, lead materials are relatively lacking; It's quite difficult to find a box (currently I only found one at the Liberty Museum), but the damage caused by such rare bullets is so low, it's a bit unbalanced. I am curious whether such damage can still kill enemies in the later stages of the game. I suggest slightly increasing the damage of AN94 and M4, so that items and bullets related to AN94 that can only be found in boxes can be purchased from merchants (by the way, I used an automatic ump mod, which has 50 damage when using. 38 bullets, advanced boxes, and+0% damage modes)

It has roughly the same damage as a Handmade Rifle.  I use the AN94 through to the endgame.  This is a wonderful mod, and feels very balanced.  Any aspects of the mod can be changed in FO4Edit.

i think (based on earlier comments) that it was this mod that turned pre war money into cod points.
why ? why would you do that ? especially without telling people ?
the mod itself needs a patch to let you reload a magazine thats only partially empty too.
    a problem with tactical reload.
i respect the time that must have gone into this, but i'm glad i managed to undo the damage this mod has done.

It's like a bit of an in-joke, like let me explain to you my vision on or of it.

Cod points are real money currency monetization form of pay to win mechanic, familiar from the Call of Duty games, at least more modern iterations.

They are in essence lootboxes, "hidden" or obscured under a different name than: lootbox, because we all know how we as gamers feel about them, need I say more? Well let me put it nicely and state that some world governments have forbidden them and they are illegal now in some countries, namely those of the European Union, and one that I myself live in and am relatively proud of.

      Regardless.

The mod author I think, because he released his mod completely for FREE, and it's a very high quality mod as well, made a little joke if I may say so, that works two fold.

It's like for one: a big middle finger to those lootbox ridden systems of modern games and two:

It's an inside joke or "inside fun" for him, again to remind us that we can spend (or stack, ea. save) COD points (for free, in Fallout 4, which on top of all this is a singleplayer game so no stressing with online records and coping with losses and such), which are again a monetization practice that costs real life money, ON TOP of what you already pay to ''own''  the game, for shitty little items that give in certain cases an advantage.

I don't see any harm in this and I bet you would be furious if the author of this AN-94 mod, asked money for his work, right?

      Well.

I can see the fun of the joke myself even though I didn't understand it at first and still there might be aspects that I still don't see why they would implement that in the game on the other hand.

I am kind of okay with the things that I do see, and no. COD points in Fallout 4 don't bother me, anymore, and now each time I pick them up I see how community of modders of games, that usually release their work for FREE!!! and I see the players of that very same community enjoying these mods with no guilt whatsoever, except shitty, or low frames (pardon my F.. "French" there) running the game.

By the way, sir. You can edit this little in-joke easily with Fo4Edit, with almost no effort at all.

If you are running your mods through Mod Organizer 2 there are steps to add Fo4Edit to it, run Fo4Edit through MO2, and all you need to do for this is run MO2 in admin. mode on Windows, start Fo4Edit through it and it will start and you can edit basically what you want.

I'm not using MO2 (vortex nerd here), but I'd very much appreciate a way to get rid of them, if you're offering. The author and their cohorts have made excellent mods, but this in-joke is in every one of them it would seem, and I really was not pleased with it being added to the game. It just sucks out my immersion that bit more; so, I'd just like it gone. To each their own, and what have you.

I assume I should just check through the esps in FO4E and look for anything touching Pre-War Money, right? If not, hit me up, but I'll give it a shot either way. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated.

Edit: A quick pop into FO4E and I found where it was, under the edited misc. items category, right up at its top. Thankfully it was only in the Deagle mod, as I don't have this one, but at least I know where to look now. Big kudos to you, friend.

I agree, not cool at atll to just add it in. At the very least add an otion in mcm to remove it?? I can't even find what mod of his has done it at this point. I don't have this one! not cool.

I would use FO4Edit and let it open all of your esp's, then click on the vanilla fallout esm and scroll down to "misc. items". In there, find
pre-war money, click on it, and just see what other .esp's are overriding it. Very easy fix, should take no more than 3 minutes.

      @SoulFlower776

I never use modern looking mods in any FO games, it's inherently immersion breaking. Got here due to a post regarding pre-war money that had ppl cracking their skulls to "fix" the wild edit...
For one, I think it's sort of silly how ppl claim it's immersion breaking given they are using 2000's forward weaponry in a game that's all about a "Nuke-Punk" in the same nature of "Steam-Punk", only that instead of Steam stuff it's about batsheet Nuclear tech. So any having "COD Points" doesn't really hurt within a game that has been modded beyond anything that could even be slightly called "vanilla friendly". So there's that.

Now, doing such wild edits and shoehorning those without warning is akin to distributing malware, as such, even though I see no harm in immersion killing additions to a mod that is inherently immersion breaking, it's a severely disrespectful malpractice from the mod author.

As for the "narrative" treating the "whys" and "whats", it's totally irrelevant and makes absolutely no sense at all. Say, if a game's packed with lootboxes I simply dodge it, people who don't are being fools if they dislike it, business malpractices only really exist because a massive portion of the people stubbornly insist on throwing money at companies under a delusional copium, as if things would change at all by doing the same thing over and over again, not only that, they are feeding these companies while complaining to the winds... Until they see monetary losses they'll keep pushing for worse business practices, and the practices already adopted won't change until people start doing active boycots...

On the other side of the trenches, as a former modder myself, not charging for mods' both mandatory by copyright laws, and do not involve any monetary gain intent at all at all times. If someone wants to earn money through modding, they'll have to move their "work" under "paid mods" systems, like CC with Bethesda Games' - Eventually those modders who go for CC and similar wind up being quite infamous among gamers, and eventually burn their image irreversibly, it's also important to note that enlisting for CC style "stores" involves a crapton of rules and limitations as to what you can actually "create" and "how" - which means mods will be vastly inferior to what often was the original intent, because there's "polishing through cuts" made by Bethesda (or the responsible company) to accomodate all their playerbase, from potato consoles (those are always potatoes) to Gaming "Toasters" with 10 year old mid-tier GPUs... This means, they aren't doing anyone any favors, they are creating mods as a hobby because they have fun doing so, often way more than they would playing the games, in a sense, a modder's "gaming experience" is solely about creating mods, most never really play the games. Modders who play rarely create complex mods, they normally just do "easy patching" to improve their own experience and share it occasionally.

In conclusion, both the author and your copium are utterly wrong, this shouldn't be done nor admired nor accepted... It's a intrusive addition, again, exactly like malware works... Now I'm outta here, I don't even play this guy's mods so I'm just a tourist... Kisses on the butt-cheeks

Because the main feature of the AN-94 is the two shot, one click, otherwise it wouldn't be different from an Ak-47 variant
