Absolutely essential mod, now I can enjoy the music from the radio while the game is paused without my character constantly banging on their pip boy every 10 seconds. Endorsed.
Some of the decisions at these game companies lately make me wonder... Why would a game company want to genuinely piss off the player with these stupid nags, insults and violent animations towards the player built into the game. Jjust because they put the controller/mouse down for a second? I mean really Behtesda? They really have to waste all of your time and insult you besides? Thanks for this mod. The only way this has become a somewhat decent normal game is because of mods like this.
Sometimes I wonder if my character has a shorter attention span than me.
Thanks for making this mod, it helps when I'm using the pipboy to pause the game instead of the Escape button and I've heard that childish banging animation for the hundredth time.
greetings, i am sending this message through time from the future
awesome thing. exactly what i was hoping for. i like to listen to music on the pip boy sometimes, and WHACK WHACK WHACK was always pointlessly disruptive.
Cool mod, but there's a much, much easier way to do this.
All you have to do is add the following line under the [General] section of Fallout4.ini contained in Documents\My Games\Fallout4
fSecsBeforeIdle=1200.0000
Change 1200 to whatever you like; the value is in seconds, so 1200 = 20 minutes before the annoying idle animations start playing. This setting only effects the Pip-Boy idle animations as far as I can tell.
Oh, hey, cool! Going to have to check that out. I suspect, however, that it won't affect the smaller movements that happen as you're actively browsing through things, those not being idles.
No, it doesn't effect those, so I'll probably try your mod for that
The bit of realism that they've tried to add with all of these animations quickly turns into an annoyance after you've seen the same one for the bajillionth time. IIRC, the default value for the idle animations is either 90 or 120 seconds, so they didn't really give you much time to take a break before dude starts banging on the Pip-Boy like he's pissed off that you're not paying attention to him. I personally like to have the radio going sometimes while I look for mods or what-not, so this was something that I looked to fix immediately lol.
Thank you so much for this. Judging by the comments on other sites that refer to the screen hitting as an "easter egg" or something of that nature, a lot of people actually *like* it, but personally I can't stand hearing BANG BANG BANG every 20 seconds so if I afk.
