Thanks man. It actually improves the performance, that was one of the goals when creating this mod. My GTX 950 2Gb gave me 40-45 fps (Reshade and 100+ mods) with sudden drops to 10-20 (especially when leaving one cell and entering another), and after I recolored the grass and downsized it, the max drops are 35, and the average went up to 45-50 in grassy areas.
For example. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10658 or I'd better try this one, use the lightweight version https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15421
Late answer to an old post, but may be useful to anyone coming across this - you can still get all of the Seasons mods by frogprincess, just not here on Nexus. Google "Creative Family Mods". The first suggestion is the website where several old time modders moved their creations after the Nexusmods modpacks fiasco. Many great classic mods there. I think that you have to go to frogprincess' Discord to actually download Seasons, but it's all explained on the website.
I tried them and it crashed my game. Badly. Corrupted save files. Every time I activate one it resets game and corrupts saves. Lucky Im on pc and back up save files but it still meant a few days compiling Mods with a new game. I dont make a habit of saying anything negative re mods but this does need mentioning. Perhaps Nexus removes some because they do cause damage and Id hate others to lose their entire game. Id also put 900 hours into it. Lucky Id saved settlements as blueprints. I have used 99% of most mods removed and only about 2% are buggy and cause major issues and this was by far the worst. It may have worked for you but clearly if anyone has the same setup as me whatever it was that conflicted, they could risk the same loss. Interestingly I had NO other grass mods.
Downloaded via vortex, good clean install, working really well. Lichen was a too bright for me so pulled that one dds. File, would endorse but Nexus is saying I didnt download it, so I gave you a kudos.
@Aureus That's what bothers me most. It made sense for the wasteland to be all dead & brown in the first games because it was only about 80 years after the war and they took place in a very dry region. Though even then there should have been some signs of the beginning of recovery. But 210 years later? In an area that gets frequent rain?
for some reason, any grass mod that i download (including this one) doesn't work and im left with the games vanilla grass. Do you know what the problem could be? I tried multiple grass mods and not a single one worked.
so for some reason it's not under the plugin in mo, but it is downloaded and shows up on the profile and is checked marked. im not sure how to fix this
MIght be something wrong with your mod manager. My Nexus Mod Manager is so glitchy sometimes too.
Try installing it manually. Unpack the mod and put it in your Data folder. The structure should be like this Fallout 4 (where your game is) - Data-Textures-Landscape-Grass-grass files.
Tried that and it unfortunately still isnt showing up in the plugin. it's very weird. i even tried reinstalling mod organizer to see if it would fix it but didnt.
This mod doesn't have an .esp and it isn't supposed to be shown on the plugin list. The most important thing is to put the mod files in the right game folder, and everything will work fine in the game. You should also uncheck all the mods connected with grass in your mod manager, so that they don't interfere.
Is this a seasonal mod? My grass is still brown (ingame date 2-1-2288) Got it working... entries missing from Custom and Preference.ini and Win10 folder/security changes.
Thank you! this is a much needed addition. 200years and no Nuclear Winter... the flora should be recovering!

I see that some trees in your screenshots have leaves. Is that from a mod?
