Sometimes the grey dead grass is depressing. What about some colorful green summer grass?
The resolution of the grass in Fallout is 2k. That makes even powerful PCs lose 5-30 fps. Made the grass 1k, and the performance rose by 10-15 fps, allowing to use maximum distance and higher density.
Installation.
Use a mod manager or unpack into Data folder.
The grass distance can be changed in the game menu settings where you control the audio, subtitles, etc.
The density is located in Fallout4.ini under
[Grass]
iMinGrassSize=10
The standard is 20, the lower the number, the denser is the grass.
It's 10 in the pictures.
