Hey! I was using the slightly outdated version from the SS2 Contest Pack, and wanted to update it to this version get round the settler limit bug that happens with older city plans.

However, it doesn't seem to come up in my list of options for city plans - is this a known bug? I'm not having this problem with any other city plan.

      It should show up.
Have you checked to see if the plugin is enabled?
also make sure you downloaded the first file as the optional file contains layouts that are used through the workbench and not the city planner desk.

I am not up to date with the holotape tools, might be best to ask over on the SS2 forums website, however, I saw a user's comment (chuh213) on another SS2 city plan who had issues with the plan not showing up -  they got city plans to show:
found a way to "fix" it, not limited to just this city plan:
      1. start up a save file that doesn't have this or the city plans you wanna use. Turn off building limits for city plans in City Manager holotape options
      2. refresh building plans, save game, close game.
      3. enable the mod that contains the city plan you want to use, then check the City Plans list on the city manager's desk. It won't be there.
      4. open up city manage holotape again, refresh building plans.
      5. it's there now

Awesome build, thankyou for the city plan. I am loving all your plans I have quite a few running in my game currently right now. Do you perhaps have any future plans to go back to some of your older city plan/layouts (that you made before chap2) and add a chapter 2 update for diseases/Sanitation/Hospitals/HQ Support? No worries either way as I said thankyou so much for these plans. They have made my game so much more enjoyable building them and then having them turn out so beautiful when you walk around, always somethings to smile at or make you take a 2nd look because the space you created is picture perfect.

I have done some of the plans prior to ch2 as layout updates in the optional files (Vault 88, Covenant, Egret, Zimonja), but have yet to do Longfellows, Murkwater, Jamaica Plain and Croup Manor.
Layouts are a bit easier to sort out with less work.
Eventually I will get to these earlier ones when I get some more time to get them sorted out. (they are on my mental list of things to do)

Then I also need to spend more time sorting out the full city plan files, although who knows what will be added with ch3 that might also suit some of the settlements.
Oh, and I have to make time to actually play through ch2 myself :)  but then I also need to spend a few weeks dedicated to making up a mod list for it, from 50 mods in the build profile to about 375+ in the play profile.

Update: Version 1.2 keeps the original orientation and adjusts a few things around it - so not need to do any of the below

The Sim Settlements 2.1.2 update has changed the orientation of the Laser Cannon Martial plot.
The building has been rotated 180 degrees

To get it position correctly (as per the pictures) you can do the following:

    • Enter build mode (you will be able to mouse over the plot to see its position)
    • open the console, and click on the plot beneath the front corner of the stairs where the highest support is (the plot has a lot of mist objects that will be click on first for most other areas of the plot)
    • Type the following and into the console and press enter (without quote marks) 'modangle z 180' then 'modangle z 0'
    • exit the console and check the plot has been rotated by mousing over it (if it hasn't re-enter console 'modangle z -180' 'modangle z 0'  to put what every you did have selected back into its original position, then try clicking on the plot again and repeat the previous steps)
    • Exit build mode and refresh the plot
    • Re-enter build mode and move the ASAM to a convenient location (if you refresh this step will need to be repeated)
    • Exit build mode and that should be it

This was my first city plan in SS2, I was learning what and what not to do...
    *WARNING
    for version 1.0*
If you are running the first version, it has some issues.

    • broken power grid
    • Defense and junk storage mismatch
    • Needs out slightly at different levels
    • Plots not changing/upgrading on city plan upgrade
    • Settlement bed count out on level 2 and 3

I have shifted my previous comments and description regarding version 1.0 into the Article "Competition Version (1.0) Archived Information"

Do not use Transfer Settlements with Sim Settlements 2 for solving grid issues. It is not compatible and destroys the whole setup! But your City Plan looks awesome. Think I´ll be using it. Good luck for the contest!
