you should make it so you can choose exactly what weapons to double the damage of when running the install in NMM. it would help if you only want a certain weapon to have double damage and everything else normal damage, or vice versa.
i don't see this as a cheat or God item. I mean some of the damage on weapons is crap. The only way i would say this is a cheat is if all of a sudden the pipe guns do 50 damage, or the 10 mm did 100 dps.
Plus if this relates to everyone's guns i.e... NPCs and you then it is a balance not a cheat. People may not like it but that does not make it false.
great work btw, keep modding and thanks you. oh so if the second line with the npcs is true i would remove this to game play, or whatever it is called.
Companions and npcs with unique weapons don't have boosted damage since I only boosted the damage of certain weapons not all of them. And yeah I didn't know what category to put it in. Thanks for the comment! :-)
I'm using a mod that makes survival damage x2 for both player and enemies, instead of 0.5x for player. Also, have a mod for pipe weapons that hit at 75 dmg per shot with maxed rifleman and the best .38 receiver. The damage actually feels pretty good, gamewise. Still weaker than a combat rifle, but it uses much more common ammo and is half the weight or better. I liked the pipe guns and didn't like having to dump them past a certain level.
Of course, every raider with a pipe gun hits hard now too, especially as they start getting better ones, so it feels pretty balanced. I think the base damage for a pipe rifle is 34 in this mod, the .38 versions. Now I can use one through the whole game instead of having to drop it. Got bored of the combat rifle, and I don't like the assault rifle, it's huge and ugly.
To give you an idea, my fully modded pipe rifle still takes 4 or 5 headshots on a raider survivalist and veteran at lvl 50 or so.
It makes a really handy, lightweight general purpose weapon with a sniper setup and short scope.
Not really having a problem holding my own with it though, but I've always played as headshots or don't bother, basically.
if you want more damage for yourself just use the console i belive the comand for damage was player.setav 357 2 (player.setav 357 1 being default) 2 is double damage and so on.
this is very useful for some weapons, but game breaking for others. this is handy for the pipe weapons, 10mm pistol, double barrel, and maybe a few melee weapons. but it is too powerful for weapons like the combat rifle, shotgun, assault rifle, and plasma rifles. you tried though and i was able to change it with fo4edit, so you did a good job.
Yeah some weapons are extremely overpowered but that's only because I just took the numbers and multiplied them by 2 so weapons with originally high damage are obviously gonna be pretty op. Thanks for the comment, feedback is nice to have.
yeah, even more than double. once I was inside gunners camp and I was launching the missiles everywere, the effect was disapointing: 3 missiles per head :/
Here I made it just for you, it increases damage done by explosives tremendously, so much so that you actually care about saving your fatman or rocket launcher for the toughest of bosses. :-) https://www.dropbox.com/s/zfitef8bjm21dxn/Extra%20Explosives%20Damage.esp?dl=0
For perfect immersion and realism I would recommend a headshot damage multiplier x8 and otherwise for all other body parts (for example when hitting the bullet-proof vest or something) the vanilla damage
I could try, but it wouldn't be an optional file for this mod, it would be a whole different mod entirely. But yeah I could maybe make a mod that does this.

Jmho.

EDIT: I updated the mod, it now includes the deliverer, the revolutionary sword and the submachine gun. Enjoy!
Can you make an optional file for grenades, mines, and other explosive stuff like missiles and mini-nukes whith increased damage?
