Hello, do you take requests? If so, is it possible to have a patch for this mod?

Sorry for the late reply, hadn't logged in on Nexus since you posted. I've uploaded a version that should be compatible with Gunplay, if you're still looking for one. If not, don't worry about it. It was nice to have a bit of a kick in the butt to do some basic modding again.

Hello. Sorry for the late reply because I stopped playing FO4 but I've been wanting to play again. Was just looking for this mod. Thank you so much for the patch. I appreciate it.

Bethesda should have tied range increases to the Sniper perk - for ballistic weapons only (no laser/plasma range increases).
This way, if you choose to go the sniper route - your pistol has the kind of extended range you'd expect in the hands of a sniper just as much as that rifle does.

Added:  People who love SMG's might want to change the weapon type to WeaponTypePistol - to leverage the Gunslinger perk.    They do fire Handgun ammo, and they are meant to leverage Armor Piercing instead of increased range.

Overall I think there's a lot Bethesda could've done better with perks and gun types. Heck, the difference between a rifle and a pistol in Fallout 4 is just whether it has a stock.

As for the SMG thing, remember that Fallout 4 counts all automatic, non-heavy weapons as Commando perk exclusive, whether they're pistol or rifle, so changing an SMG to be classified as a rifle won't make the range boost affect them. You'd have to also remove the automatic tag from SMGs (presumably attached to their receivers), or edit the perk directly to affect automatic pistols.

True, but I'm talking about a modded Fallout 4 (which Bethesda encourages by design).
MP5, FN P90, Uzi, etc - all of these SMG/PDW weapons have selectable fire mode switches (even the Thompson does).
A mod like Weapons Framework Beta allows using a hotkey to switch fire modes - so that MP5 can be used like an assault rifle (with 9mm ammo) - which leverages the Rifleman (probably should be Gunslinger) perk.    When you switch to auto, it leverages Commando.

I never thought about Rifleman before this week when I learned that armor piercing is better on fast firing low damage weapons like Autos and Pistols and the only sniper that benefits from Gunslinger is the Pipe bolt-action which isn't the best sniper. I mainly use pistols on stealth and that is usually very close up.

That's a good point I hadn't considered before. With the way DR scales, armor pierce is always more effective on low-damage weapons. While not all pistols necessarily qualify as "low-damage", I can see something like the Deliverer getting a lot of help from having a high armor pierce value applied to it.
