I like comments, suggestions for improving a mod, questions on functionallity, problems you are having. I enjoy constructive criticism and look at each idea to see if I can fix, alter or include these ideas. I check the comments on all of my mods at least daily as I value your input and want to make mods to give you a fun and pleasant experience. But please be polite. If you are going to be rude or insulting to me or another poster, don't bother posting because I will delete them! This may not make me popular. It may lower the number of downloads. Bit it is how I feel.

Hello! I've attempted to download on XBox where the author said it was ported with your permission onto bethesda.net. But I can't, it says that I do not have the requirements because required files aren't present. Do you know what the files might be? I'm new to Nexus so I'm not good at navigtaing its UI yet in case you have written this down somewhere I don't know hot to get to/access. Thanks in advance.
Probably F4SE (script Extender). It doesn't show as a requirement but if my memory is correct, I believe you need the Script Extender. I don't know how the requirement was removed but I'm pretty sure it is needed. Please, let me know if that fixes it and I will put the requirement back.
On the balcony of the building at the end of the street leading straight out from the museum, there is not a trunk? Do you have another mod that alters this area?
this is a really cool mod, I'm not modding literate, but is it possible to make a version of this mod that makes the classic power armor downscaled to the clothing size of your power armor here with similar stats. I guess basically making lite versions of vanilla PA that have the functionality of FO3-NV (in the sense that its regular clothing not a "vehicle") idk just food for thought.
Power Armor is not a vehicle, it is a race. When you enter the power armor your character changes race to Power Armor race. That being said, Power Armor Lite is standard armor with powers added to it to give it powers similar to regular Power Armor. I have tried to use the regular Power Armor models but they expect to attach to a Power Armor frame. All of this could of course be done in a mod. But not in this mod. The base structure is all wrong and adding the objects to accomplish using Power Armor pieces would basically make this mod double in size and essentially be two mods in one.
overall quite nice is there any ideas for adding CBBE compatability? or barring that adding some pants or something cuz i have that installed and my character's bare ass hangs out also the uh... nozzles? for the jetpack kinda warp and stretch in 3rd person
Actually, CBBE is at the top of my list of features to add. I've been reading up on it but no luck yet. But I'll get it eventually. As for the jetpack there is a series of comments below as to why that happens. And that is #2 on my list.
have something else to add... namely with this mod installed it causes a bizarre visual bug with standard power armor in that it makes the frame disappear it auto unequips the left leg (and won't let me reequip it) so it basically looks like my character model look like a stretch armstrong moving these metal bits around.. kinda similar to how it looks when i equip the armor from this mod actually jsut bigger cuz power armor
it MIGHT have to do with CBBE but i haven't tested this w/ a male chalracter to make sure yet
Let me know how it goes with a male character. I almost always play male characters so all of my testing was pretty much on males. I think I'll do a new game with a female character and check it out.
yea i'ma check it out later tonight i'ma try both w/ a male character and a female 1 w/ CBBE disabled
edit: ok both with and without CBBE enabled it causes that aforementioned issue w/ both male and female characters.. it makes me wonder if another 1 of my mods is having a weird interaction with yours
edit 2: weird... ok so i tired loading a different character and i'm not having the issue
I found the issue with PAL breaking vanilla power armor and fixed it on 1.03. It was a convoluted issue involving how Bethesda makes power armor, leveled lists and some of my development code not being properly cleaned up. I also finally figured out how to make the jetpack stop stretching when you kneel or sit.
gave it a whirl and it's still doing it so i'm wondering if either a some mod i have is playing weird w/ power armor and ur mod when ur mod is enabled or.. somethin on this current file is tainted on that front
Let me check the zip file and make sure I got all of the latest in it. Because it definitely fixed it on my machine.
Edit: I checked the zip file and the new stuff is in there. Make sure the Jetpack.nif and the PowerArmorLite3.esp are from the new zip. Those are the only files I changed. It might be neccesary to remove PAL3 save then add it back in. I didn't have to but overwriting a mod can be trouble some at times.
i'm pretty sure it installed right cuz the chest piece is curvier now and the jetpack isn't warping in 3rd person so like i said i get the feeling it's another mod of mine causing weird issues tho i'm unsure what as i think i only have 1 or 2 mods affecting power armor.. also it makes my hands invisible when i equip them and the helm is clipping through my head
Have you tried removing PAL3, doing a full save and then adding it back in? Maybe the leveled list problem is in your save game? If so, only way to get it out is that method.
yea i've tried that a few times i've given up at this point it seems like something on this particular character is making ur mod not work properly and i dunno why
Well shoot, now I have to make a new game again just to check one thing: Will those two men at the gate before the bombs fell be wearing the 'pants' of the PAL3 instead of actual Power Armor. Never mentioned it before from the previous one since I found it too funny.
I'll have to start a new game too. I never realized that. I didn't make it player only so your companions could wear it. But you are right that is funny.
Alright, posted up two screenshots of the two guys in Power Armor. This time, it's only just one leg and not both legs. This only happens with your mod too. Still find it funny.
Edit: Now that I look at it with more time, it also took away the gloves.
Yeah that looks like my armor but it is twisted and not attached to the proper body part. I have no idea why it would do that. I used seperate keywords so this should not happen. Well you've given me my puzzle for the week. Now to see what I can find. Anyone else reading this seen this happen? Oh, and do you have any other power armor mods loaded? Maybe that is where the issue lies?
The only power armor mods would be the Gundam one...which I did not have on when I used the PAL2 so it's assumed not to be it if the PAL3 is doing it as well. Maybe AWKCR? That's only for the engine glitch If I recall though. Creation Club-wise is the CC-00 power armor and that's it.
In any case, so far it's only in that instance and I have yet to find enemies in Power Armor that could even have that happen.
...I probably have to visit Danse just to make sure.
It looks good so far, the only thing I would say you need to do is "dirty" up the textures a little, it will make them look more natural and not as cartoonish. It's pretty cool, other than that.
Keep up the great work. :)
Edit: I just did a little texture work on the armor and made it a little "dirty", and it helps with the "plastic" look that someone complained about. If you would like I will send them to you, and you can check them out and use them if you like them. I also noticed that there seems to be some weighting issues with the jet pack, It seems to be stretching when you move around. It can really be seen in 3rd person. Other than that, it is some pretty cool armor. :)
I have someone who volunteered to make new textures for the armor and to port it to XBox. WooHoo Cool! So I'll wait to see what he makes. The camo texture is too clean (I don't care for it but left it in. See other post.) The default texture has rust and shiny "wear" spots. But there is always room for improvement.
Yes, please send me your textures, I would love to see them. At least post some images so we can all see them. Also, I tried to make the jetpack attach to a single bone so it wouldn't deform but then the nif doesn't show in Creation Kit. I'm still looking for a fix for that.
Subtle. I like that. I'll keep it in mind after I see what the other deveoper comes up with. I think a little dirt, expecially around the boots and lower legs is a great idea. And maybe some more wear and tear shiny spots around the edges of the upper body.
I agree, the textures need some work but, since there are no shadows anywhere on these images, maybe it is not the textures but the game simply running on a low config. Also better than mocking people, you should point him to a good tutorial, so this mod author can upgrade his game.
That particular room has lighting from every direction. In early versions the Orbital Station had problems with shadows being too dark. So, in the current version the Control Room of the Orbital Station is very bright. The textures used fot the non camoflage version are stock textures from Bethesda. In Power Armor Lite 2 the first version was the camoflage pattern, a texture of my own design. I personally didn't care for the look. So I created the metal version. I was going to drop the camoflage version as being too chunky. But several users of Power Armor Lite 2 requested I leave it. So we have two sets of meshes and textures. AthenaX, you are correct in the fact that I run in low config. Unfortunately that is all my aged graphics card can handle and being retired I don't really have the cash to upgrade my computer. Of course that isn't all bad, other people with lighter weight computers have no problems running my mods.
