Hi all, my problem seems to be a bit different than others are having. I have completed Vim and Vigor, and found the West Tek Tactical Optics blueprints, and have both Armorer and Science rank 4. This Mod is installed, plugin is enabled, but still don't see the option at the armorer workbench to add vit-o-matic to my west tek headgear. I tried adding workshop plus and Eff's Patches to see if that helped. Unfortunately, that did not work either. Any ideas on how to get it to show up in my armorer workbench? Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, I have to report this doesn't seem to work anymore. You can mod the Optics fine, but when worn it doesn't add the 'Scan' option as an alternate activation method. No idea why; I poked around in the mod and SS2 and can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
When the Vit-o-Matic itself is equipped I can scan using the alternate activation method rather than shooting, but it isn't an option when Vit-o-Matic is not equipped and the Optics modded with Vit-o-Matic sensors.
I've tracked down why it isn't working - Workshop Plus adds a 'Settler Activation' feature for tracking the items the settler is assigned to. If you disable the Settler Activation feature in the Workshop Plus MCM menu, then the Vit-o-Matic scanning is now available while wearing the Optics.
I don't understand why equipping the Vit-o-Matic while Workshop Plus's Settler Activation stuff is enabled acts differently than equipping the modded Optics, but for some reason it does.
If you use WorkShop Plus from KingGath, make sure to turn off 'Settler Activition' in its options. Else this eyepiece wont work. You might wanne place this info on the main page.
Always playing on Survival, and lately I've been using a mod companion so no Lone Wanderer carry bonus to boot x_x Edit: hahh, loving the OMOD's text description as well
The Vit-O-Matic has a secondary function that lets you walk up to settlers and press R to scan them if you have it equipped. That's what this lets you do, just with a piece of eyewear instead of a weapon. (assuming everything works as intended)
Yep unfortunately the mod won't work if Quick Trade is installed, the R key is used for it. Tried my build without Quick Trade and this works perfectly fine.
You go all round the world to build a vit-o-matic scanner, then once built, carry it around with you. Then you go to your settlements and "shoot" settlers (basically scan them) and it gives you stats about them, which you can use to better assign them to plots to generate more "stuff".
Or, just stick it in your workbench and forget about it because it weighs so much and is a complete PITA to use. The choice is yours.

Also, thanks to the author for the mod. Endorsed!

I'm not sure what you mean. I put this together in FO4Edit - is there something there that could fix this or is it something in the CK?
Oh you meant in the DESCRIPTION! Nice catch, thanks! Should be fixed now.
