Thanks a lot for this mod! I did some digging in FO4Edit and found that AWKCR completely borks BoS Knight Paints (alongside Paladin Danse's armor), especially when used alongside other BoS-overhaul mods (like BoS Improved, in my case). I would uninstall AWKCR, but some other mods that I like rely upon it + I'm pretty deep in a new save before I realized that AWKCR was the culprit. This fixed the problem. +1 endorsement.
I tried everything and installed every patches (also using BPAO 2.0) but still getting every BOS power armors to be rusty T-45. Just to be sure, do I have to load AWKCR before or after CAPO, BPAO, MPAM and PAMAP ?
AWKCR has to be first, yeah. Are you using the AWKCR version of CPAO, BPAO, MPAM, and PAMAP? Because they replace all of them and things won't work if you don't use those. I assume using BPAO 2.0 goes against that, but I haven't ever used it.
By the AWKCR version you mean the patches it automatically propose to install ? Because yes I installed those + the replacer plugins on this mod page. Messing with the load order unfortunately didn't change a thing.
BPAO 2.0 seems to work but every knight wears T-60, so I guess that doesn't fix my problem but it's still better than the original rusty T-45 issue haha
Thank you. I got all I wanted working perfectly with a load order of: (Consistent Power Armor Overhaul.esp, Brotherhood Power Armor Overhaul.esp, AWKCR - BoS Paint Fix.esp, AWKCR - CPAO Replacer Fixes.esp, and lastly BPAO - Automatron Patch.esp.)
For the ones here, use AWKCR 8.6.0 and then install the Brotherhood of Steel fix. If you use any of the optional replacers from AWKCR's installer, get my fix patch for the respective replacer (CPAO, MPAM, and PAMAP).
I haven't used AWKCR in a long time, though. It's big, old, and complicated to deal with all of the patches. You could see if you can remove it from your load order with patches for mods that need it. You can see many of those here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/40752
Other people like 4estGimp have made newer versions of it, I'm not sure how different they are, but 4estGimp's is much more up-to-date.
I spent about an hour trying to find a fix for the missing brotherhood decals due to awkcr. Not only did I find this fix, I also learned of BPAO and downloaded it. Downloading both gave me my decals back. Thank you very much!
Does this fix the bug where BOS paint for power armour is just the default T-65 look? I have been searching far a wide for a fix for this bug and nobody seems to have fixed it.
I think the paint jobs only change if you use Consistent Power Armor Overhaul and install the replacer for it from the AWKCR installer as well. That may not make it use the new paint jobs, though, and if that's the case, this does not fix that problem.

You and me both man. It's really immersion breaking...
Edit: I found a remedy. Gonna have to roll AWKCR back to v6.3 unfortunately. on the upside, I have yet to experience any issues from the roll back. Hope this works for you too.
I found the problem in AWKCR and I was able to fix it in my game. Check out the Brotherhood of Steel Paint Fixes file that I uploaded. You might also want the updated Consistent Power Armor Overhaul Replacer Fixes if you use that, because the BoS paints were broken there, too. There might be more that are broken elsewhere, because there are a whole lot of BoS paints in AWKCR and its replacers for some reason, but I haven't seen any issues since the fixes I made. I don't play with AWKCR, though. At this point, I just patch things if they interfere with my mod because I know so many people use AWKCR.
f you do see something else, let me know and I might be able to fix it.
Yes, these would still apply if you are using AWKCR-R. The replacer plugins are still provided by the original AWKCR, even if you are using AWKCR-R to replace its main plugin.
