Late to the party but just started to use Sim Settlement 2 and now your Vault city plan.
So far i have only the first level of buildings, so can't say anything yet about the look of the vault in final stage, but i have to thank you for the many turrets on the roof. I'm at the quest line for the Phoropter and needed Uranium,, without the turrets the radscorpions in the north-east tunnel would have eaten me alive. I pulled them back to the turrets and puff gone :)
oh, one question... where is the city planer table, after i activated the city plan ? Can't find it anywhere, also no overseer table or so. A little help would be nice :)
It should be in the overseer's office (hard left second floor when you enter the atrium). I'm working on redoing much of this city plan to update it for sanitation plots and other rebalanced SS2 things. I hope the new version will work better overall.
Honestly, because during my testing it was very random whether the power & water showed up at all. Especially power! I can't tell you how many hundreds of hours I spent trying to fix power. Water worked better than power, but if you hadn't cleared out that cave section, the city plan wouldn't upgrade/have enough water unless I had water included. So that's why I decided it that way.
I wasn't able to make use of this vault because of the massive amounts of turrets stacked on roof. game went down to a crawl with that many turrets. defence is 5000 but CTD because of low fps.. I was barely able to revert back to a vanilla state and recover after this mod.
Very nice design of Vault 88. I'm a Paxil-addled OCD'er and I couldn't come up with anything close to what you've done. Can't wait to see what it looks like in its final form.
I may change a few things around if possible, in changing out a few municipal plots to support HQ with power and water sharing agreements, But who knows, you might have thought of that too and it's in the final design. But that's just a personal play style decision, considering how much power and water your design generates, even at L0.
Your design looks solid and flawless. If you managed to design that layout and not have any electrical dead zones, considering how many countless sleepless nights I spent designing and redesigning that friggin' vault, I'll never be touching that vault again. I'll be using your mod exclusively from here on out. Voted up, Endorsed, and donation sent.
Thank you very much! And OMG, I had so many power issues, I can't tell you how many times I had to completely start over, and how I spent hundreds of hours on this thing. (And have probably a thousand save files at various stages.) It is seriously the most annoying settlement to work in. :x
That's a great point about the excess power/water and sharing with HQ... I only recently got HQ in my game, so I haven't tested it, but if I make any big changes I'll release an update to this! I'm using my playthrough as a thorough test for all my city plans. But I also get tired of *only* playing Fallout so every few months I take a break to play other games... thus it's taking me forever to do.
Thank you so much for your feedback, endorsement, and donation! I really appreciate it.
even this one isnt working for me... nothing is shwing and cleared out the whole area, i add the mods required for this mod and nothing.. can i make a request on doing a vanilla version?
could the mod Vault 88 station cleanup and ex. be causing it not to show up?
Yeah, it sounds like there might be a conflict. Try a test save without that mod, or try changing your load order. Sorry, I don't know much about these things, but good luck. :)
I downloaded this, as well as the recommended add-ins. I just put all of the .esl files in my load order, with all of the other .esl files I have (with no particular priority among them) expecting that should suffice. Can anyone confirm this, or should one particular .esl be placed before another?
is Pre-Scrapping advised or not? i tend to Not get along with overseer and just want to start building, buuutttttt some times dumping quests and not clearing the way works... Not so well. i mean i'm gonna do it anyway, just want to save myself a bit of scrapping time or... trouble if not. thanks again, you do good work
Pre-scrapping is suggested, but not required. If your game tends to get script lag, I'd suggest manually scrapping the first area for best results. It's a big area so the scrap phase in the city plan itself can take quite a bit of time to run and doesn't always get everything.
As for the overseer quest, you can apply the city plan before you complete or cancel that (or kill the overseer, lol), and it shouldn't cause a problem. Let me know if it does.
It looks really wonderful. I just start building the city plan. I want to ask anyone do you have the climate mode ever show up when starting a city plan? Cuz mine not.
