Good lord there are some seriously salty people in this thread bitching about your changes to power armor.
What the hell is so hard to understand about a mod that reduces the over poweredness of something???
PA makes this game trivial,no challenge WHATSOEVER. This mod reduces PA to still make it viable/strong,but simply not rediculously over powered as in base game. I wana roleplay with the BoS,so i want PA,but i also want a challenge...WITHOUT THIS MOD THATS IMPOSSIBLE.

Apologies! Edited 17/04/22 after finding the real culprit was More Common Weather. However, there are still oddities (see bottom para): --------------------------- Thanks. A step toward making PA less of a freaking borked hot mess in FO4. What we really need is FO3 style PA and all other FO3 armours, with their gradual need for repair etc). Once that's done we can then be rid of that other hot mess - ballistic weave - which was only brought in to counterbalance the mess of PA and to let players who were put off from wearing PA to still play the game.
UPDATE: Seemed incompatible with other mods (Unique Curie, More Common Weather). I recently went to Far Harbour and while there installed this mod before returning. But the Commonwealth's weather changed - didn't realise for at first I thought it was a Far Harbour travel glitch. Then found my Curie mod wasn't working. I put her below this mod to fix it but my mod still didn't work. Didn't know why, and I won't report a bug unless sure, so instead just mentioning it here in case someone else finds an issue too and can decipher it.
UPDATE 17/04/22 - good job I didn't make a bug report as I finally figured out More Common Weather only edits 2/3rds of the map (don't work in Blasted Forest or southern marshes & swamps). See my long comment I made over at that mod's pages. However - to problem solve the weather issue I learnt the basics of FO4edit, and this Classic PA mod seems to have odd numbers. Eg., all torso healths are still showing as vanilla; and the power armour frames (except Ingram's) have all been reduced from 60 to 0 in both armour rating and energy resistance.
i basically learned how to make a mod like this while trying to figure out why it wasn't working for me, turns out it was a mod called legendary modification rebalance, so i just made it load after this and 2 other related mods, might as well edit it a bit more and then edit some power armors mods to be in the same ballpark
Great mod, the way FO4's Power Armor should have been in the first place. Now all we need is some sort of limiting factor to keep the player from being able to simply jump in the first suit of Power Armor they come across and just using that the rest of the game.
seriously. i felt like bethesda finally did power armor justice with the FO4 version. power armor was described as a tank in the game lore so for it to be basically a piece of clothing is kinda silly.
