not sure if this is still active, but would you be able to only replace the mk18 sound ? i kinda like the meaty glock sound that the mod offers originally, but the mk18 sound is too light for me imo. if possible that would be nice :D
The shooting sounds for both weapon are awesome, feels like im playing cod mw, but i prefer the original reloading sounds from FX0x01, is it possible for you to make a separate shooting sound only, thx in advance, awesome job.
If you want to keep the new firing sounds, but keep the original reload sounds, you can do so manually.
Find the folders these files get loaded into via your Fallout4/Data/.... then just simply remove all the new audio except the firing noises, such as some of the audio files in the "Foley" folders.
Hey everyone. Before I tell about my problem I want to say that sounds DO changed, but not the way i expected.
Am the only one who came across the issue where Fallout 4 doesn't play weapon sounds properly? Whether it is vanilla guns or gun mods. I've extracted sounds of vanilla guns from game archive and listened to them, they sound little bit different from the game itself, they sound more kinda meaty, powerful and deeper i've would say. In game they sound like 65-70% of their powerfulness and "colorfulness"
The same issue about modded guns - I've downloaded this pack, unpacked the sounds and listened - they sound the same way like in showcase video - powerful, meaty and deeper. In the game they sound quieter and imperfect. The game kinda downgrades the sounds of all weapons.
The situation about is like in the meme "Doge and Cheems" - extracted sounds and showcase videos are Strong Doge and the sounds in game are Weak Cheems.
If you know how to solve this sound issue, please, let me know
Do you have the Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul mod? It improves the reverb and firing tail sounds a bit. Because I agree the game engine does downgrade the sound it doesnt quite replicate the sound you hear in the raw file vs in game.
T.y. fot this mod. in advance, which I have not yet tried. I can hear in your demonstrational video, that you have the same issue, as I and others. Actually worse than i from what I can hear. The MK18 has a strange noice that plays when stopping moving, or when drawing the gun. It does not play in 3rd-person though. Others have been typing about this on the mod.-page under the bugreports, and I can see others have soved it. I don't understand how to do it though, so i figurede with can aid each other out. Under bugreports page 3, there is a report titled "A sound plays every 8 seconds while in 1 st person standing still with gun equipped". I have here responded i have the same trouble, but have not managed to solve the issue the way described. I don't know which means to use. I hope this report can end up having the trouble solved for us both and others.
For some reason all the Automatic suppressed sounds doesn't match the sounds in the video and the good thing is that all the unsuppressed sounds alright. I can only describe it as really soft sounding and it's a little distorted.
So, hearing the sounds, I have one suggestion. Tone down the firing's "bass"? I suppose? Compared to the reload and equip sounds, it feels a bit out of place. I'm not even sure how that would be fixed tbh.
