I have a suggestion. Instead of the L and R, could you make a version that shows the valve control that you turn to open the armor? That would be less offputting, and show that you're looking at the armor from the back. I suggested the wheel instead of the (hydraulic?) tanks, because none of the armors cover the wheel, while each armor covers the tanks in different ways.

Good suggestion. Added a Valve indicator version.

I'm gonna add another quick suggestion. I recently started using Different Colours for Power Armour Hud ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/676/? ) and it's not compatible with your mod. Do you think you could do color variations to match this mod? I would do it myself, but I don't have any of the tools needed to edit .dds files, nor do I have the skills or knowledge.

Turn signals surely are interesting. Especially since there is already a mod that adds car key sounds and reverse beeping.

Sweet Jesus, you'd think that some people actually walk with L and R painted on their shoes.

The HUD is counter-intuitive. The Compass and the Power Armor Limb Damage indicator are both facing away from you even though the actual armor part of the helmet and the dials are facing towards you.

It's also worth mentioning that the Vault Boy in the PipBoy, the one that shows your status, is looking at you, not facing away, so I'm not sure why they decided that reference should be facing one way, and the PA reference in the HUD should be facing the opposite way. Those inconsistencies are confusing, hence why I made this mod.

They probably thought of it as a mirror, since you "see yourself"...

A a non medical student, but a human who occasionally visits the doctor and occasionally watches medical dramas I'm used to having the left/right pointers from the person's perspective.
A right hand is always a right hand, no matter if it's yours or from the person sitting in front of you.

Love this mod but is there any chance we can see a white version?

You know what would be really nice? Up/down indicators on the compass on your target/objective, like when not in power armor.

Yes... my dream of turning the power armor into a mech is becoming a reality.

    Just one more month...

I'm kinda disappointed, I thought it was a mod that added turn signals, that would be hilarious LOL.

How is this helpful? You literally put left on the left side, and right on the right side.

    Are people really this dumb?

Wrong use of 'literally' mate, I actually put L and R, not 'left' and 'right'.

      Are people really this dumb?

I would have been fine with just 2 or 3 people finding this useful, more than 150 people have downloaded it so I guess the answer is either 'Yes, people are this dumb', or 'People do find the need to use something like this'. Regardless, you clearly miss the point of why this mod can be of some use, so I suggest you move on since you had nothing constructive to add to the discussion.

Thanks for actually just sharing this mod man, since like faeriexdecay I always just repaired everything and never really paid that much attention to the orientation of the armor, and it's appendages. So at the very least I now know that it's facing away

However; I actually am going to be using the valve one, not just for orientation purposes, but also because I legitimately like the look of it on the hud. Nicely done on that graphic man.

Thanks again man, and double thanks for letting me know the name of that position. I've seen it around, but never knew it was the "standard anatomical position".

Glad you like it, I had to make the valve from scratch because I couldn't find one that was similar to the one used in the Power Armor.

Btw, the name is just 'Anatomical Position'

Well you did an excellent job, it blends in nicely; it also adds some much needed character to that hud indicator as well.

Oooh alright. I would have looked quite the fool in front of my plethora of medical doctor friends . Seriously though, thank you for the correction

Kevkas - don't listen to the people that don't have a use for this mod. If someone else has the same problem or a use for the mod, they'll gladly download it.

Well one could also just walk up to a power armor station and go down the list and repair the damaged pieces. As far as being inside the suit and it telling you which piece is bad isn't the same thing as when shopping for new pieces in a inventory list of it saying if its left or right.

For those who need to be told which is left or right this mod is for you. For those who don't, it's hard to not comment.

"For those who don't, it's hard to not comment."

No... It's incredibly easy to just move on without being insulting and/or if you have nothing constructive to say. There are soooooooooo many mods on Nexus that I personally have no use for, don't like, or flat out hate/am disgusted by, but why would I waste my time expressing that and bothering mod makers/users in the comments because it's not something I want in my game? Just move on silently to something you DO like because that doesn't benefit anyone.
