About this mod

Very small mod, just adds the letters L and R to the Power Armor HUD so you can quickly identify which leg/arm you need to remove or repair. Alternative version available, that adds a valve icon to the chest piece so that you know which way it's facing.

Description:

I couldn't tell if the Power Armor silhouette in the HUD was facing front or back (read below as to why I had this confusion in the first place if you are curious) so whenever I wanted to replace/repair/remove a left-arm part of the armor for example I would end up removing the opposite one.

This mod just adds the letters L (Left) and R (Right) to the Power Armor HUD silhoutte texture so you can quickly identify which side is which.
>Update: Added a 'Valve' indicator alternative version in case you prefer to identify the torso as being the 'back'.

The only known issue is that the indicators won't be shown when you remove the chest piece, this is because the texture file only picks up the borders of the chest silhouette, so the only way to do it would be to put the indicators right on top of those borders (which looks plain awful).

The boring 'why I made this mod' explanation:
This confusion comes from my background as a medicine student while studying anatomy years ago: there's something called Anatomical Position of the human body, it determines what is considered the 'standard anatomical position', which allows you to understand any anatomy book around the world because it establishes the hands and feet positions and therefore what would be considered 'front' and 'back'. While it may seem like a silly thing to have to standarize, establishing what is front and what is back is important when studying anatomy because some images are hard to understand without that (for example this one, it shows the Sphenoid bone, if you're not used to knowing how the human body is divided into different planes it's hard to tell at a glance if you're looking at the front or back side of the bone).

How does this apply to Fallout 4? The Power Armor model in the HUD is NOT in anatomical position, it's actually reversed, and for someone like me who is used to a certain default position of the human body it ends up being confusing and counterintuitive, which is why I made this mod.

Installation:

Install using the NMM, or just copy the Data folder manually to the installation folder.

The mod consists of only 1 texture file, so it should be compatible with almost everything (it doesn't change anything else in the Power Armor HUD, only the silhouette file).
