First of all thankyou for your support and downloading the mod if you have or plan on doing so.

The following is my to-do list for the weapon.
It lists some oversights and other bits of info and any known bugs, do give it a read, it can be found in the description.

None are game breaking nor do they stop the use of the weapon. Most items listed below are quality of life improvements down the line.
Added here for your ease and so you also know what I'm aware of:

    • Improve the quality of my see through scopes or add support for the official.
    • Add the .577/450 Martini–Henry round as a new ammo type to the game.
    • Add more attachments and adaptability, perhaps bringing more sights and a greener police shotgun to the game.
    • Add wetness material changes.
    • Change sounds for saffron and gold variants to match with speed reload.
    • Fix smoothing/normals issue on screws from mesh combine.
    • Fix collision on world dummy model.
    • Add Level Lists?

    'ISSUES':

    • When unequipped the bullet in the chamber is unloaded, this is because of manual reload, enabling the charged crank/gauss rifle mechanics.
After adding this as a fix for infinite reload I quite liked the effect of having it on the rifle. It's reminiscent to how Hunt: Showdown handles it's reload system without the weapons unloading of course. This can be fixed down the line, optionally you can open MartiniHenry.esp in the CK, edit the weapon, disable the charged reload tick box to turn it off and enable bolt action, save. You will get your normal reload back and this will stop.
    • Mod XI name bug in weapon workbench, drop the weapon modifications from your inventory and pick them back up.
^ This happens when you pick up mods from containers and head to a workbench, do the above to fix.
    • The AA sights and scope are built for fov 80 80 and fov 90 80.
^ If you use anything other than these expect weirdness with the AA sights and long scope. Will look into different set mult for FOV.The weapon works perfectly fine otherwise with different fov's

I don't like the fact that this mod has the quest starting as soon as you exit the vault.. maybe when you are near the weapon or outside the building sure but not as you exit the vault..

Bridgeway Trust- unique version location. just in case people r to lazy to read the full description. Just to let u all know this gun looks cool but has really bad performance. Its a single loader which means u can only fire one shot at a time an u have to reload after every shot. Kinda suks doesnt it? awesome gun but basically useless :*(

You make it sound like firing 1 round and reloading is a bad thing.
Well, I guess it is if you are rocking Glocks, MP5's, AR's, high capacity Remington 700's, etc - they shouldn't even be in your load order if that is the case.
      -----
Rolling Block Rifle, Colt Single Action Army, Remington New Army and Carabine, Yet Another Single Shotgun, AMAC-1500, Caravan Shotgun, Winchester 1887, Winchester 1897, etc, etc?    Martini-Henry is right at home with a load order with those weapons (though that AMAC-1500 really needs to be tempered by extreme rarity of .50 BMG and a hefty carry weight reduction - so that 36lbs becomes a serious burden).  :D

this isnt related to the mod exactly, just want the opinion of other users here. but i want a musket mod. thats it. simple as that. laser muskets are dumb af. fallout 76 has black powder weapons, why not fallout 4? and wouldn't it be easier to make black powder weapons as opposed to finding broken laser rifles and forcing them to work the complete wrong way? idk, at least some sort of simple single shot rifle that isnt from the prewar days would be cool. maybe a sharps rifle or a Springfield trapdoor rifle. as for muskets id personally like to see if someone were to make them, maybe a 3 band Enfield or even a older Kentucky rifle, however i wouldnt be too picky about it. just think it be neat to see, and am sad that this games gone so many years without them.

tbh i bet it be easier to grab the blackpowder gun from F76 with the animations sounds and all and add it as a mod to FO4 or so i would say idk much about modding on fo4 i only do edits if i can

People have added the black powder rifle from FO76 into FO4 already. The mods just aren't available on websites and stuff. You gotta find the right Discord where FO76 ports are shared.

Only thing about a proper Musket is that you'd need a mod to stop time while you reloaded it.
Otherwise you'd have to cheat the game to give it a massive unrealistic reload speed to make it playable.

When you consider the reload time of the Colt Single Action Army and the Remington New Model Army mods is around 7-8 seconds (without unrealistic Quick enhancements) - you'd need to multiply that X5 to get an idea of how long a proper Musket reload should take.

In other words, if you were in Concord and missed that Radstag and he high-tailed - he might be in Lexington by the time you reloaded..

If your willing to pick up a Musket in 2287 I don't think your going to care about how useful it is, it's more for fun the long reload is part of the fun :D

      I'd beg to differ.
I sell that musket (if I don't drop it first) in front of the Museum after the first time I use it and see that I'm doing squat for damage.
A neat concept is one thing - but in needs to be combat functional.
And yes, I'm aware that when you finally get the perks needed to fully upgrade it (at Mid-game +) - it's a beast.
      -----
A proper musket will never have that upgrade path that the Laser Musket has - so it's pretty much useless from the off - other than as a novelty.
      -----
This is coming from someone whose favorite modded weapon in the game is the Colt Single Action Army.    Again, it's reload would be orders of magnitude faster than a proper musket - and it's prohibitively slower than a Colt 1911.    The difference is I can manage the 5-6 seconds between reloads - managing 30+ seconds?   Undoable on a consistent basis - given the limited range restrictions a musket would put on you.
      -----
There is a reason they said "don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes".    That one shot has to count - because you are bayonetting after that.   Not exactly an ideal ranged weapon.

Really love this mod, but I have to admit I can't stand the firing sound of it. Would have expected something way punchier (and perhaps a little louder). Would love an option for an alternate sound for it (I do love the sound from Battlefield 1, but dunno if putting that in is even possible or legal).

    Really nice mod though, props.

For some reason I cannot craft The Queen's Receiver (or any of the other modifications of this type for that matter) despite having all the needed materials and perks (gun nut 4, fortune finder 2, gears, gold, oil, springs, steel and screws) and I genuinely can't figure out what the issue is, am I missing some requirement that's not displayed in game or something?

Just want to say thanks for this mod! I used the martini all the time in Battlefield 1 and its very satisfying to use in my latest fo4 game. Pairs hilariously well with Exaggerated Ragdoll Physics mod lol

A bayonet mod for this would be awesome.
