update jan 2022: mod contains now following options: 1. main: thinner and lesser (dynamic) and more subtle clouds dark. it is my favorite solution. 1b main: thinner and lesser (dynamic) and more subtle clouds white. also my favorite solution. 2. standard darker clouds 3. standard dark clouds 4. no clouds on request - a simple lightweight no surface clouds option
all options work automatically for the far harbor and nuka world dlc if installed (but not for some closer extra fog). no meshes changed or needed to be to changed!
there could be no worse conflict with nac or any other weather/clouds mod. my mod is just a replacer. in worst case my mod does not work at all because nac uses its own sky folder or overwrites my mod. you can simply install my mod (after any weather/sky mod in the load order) and see if it works. if not, simply deactivate it. some mods use their own sky and cloud folders and my mod may not work out of the box in these cases. in some cases you can correct that manually if you copy my replacer in that weather mod folder (if it is compatible). my mod folder works with all vanilla compatible mods for the surface clouds. if you want to test if my mod works or conflicts just install the no surface clouds version and you will see (no surface clouds).
I do not have surface clouds that meet any known definition so I better not mess with pine forest. Like Warren Buffet says if you do not understand it, do not use it. Mist, fog... just want the trees... please with no cheese Louise
you install it as any plain texture mod. i do not use vortex. in mo2 klick on the zip file and the mod is recognized for installation. If vortex can not handle a texture mod with included full path please contact vortex support for the general solution how to handle a simple texture replacer. thanks!
it is a texture replacer mod so easy to install. full texture path is included. you can use a mod manager (for easier installation and load order) or you can install it manually. select loadorder as described. be aware no other mod overwrites my texture (easy to check with mod organizer or vortex).
hello, there is not much to explain. it is a texture replacer. read the description and ask if you need help. install it as every other texture replacer depending on your configuration (i don't know). load order is important and described.
these images are taken in 4k with my sold 2080ti. i offer most of my settings in my mods (as a backup for myself). just try if you want. i do not have a special loadorder. i use mo2 to be able to play with the loadorder until it fits for me as a stable and good looking setup.
You said there is mods out there to make surface clouds invisible but I just can't find them. May you link me one? Thank you so much for your mod. This is the fist mod I saw that make a change in those ugly vanilla surface clouds. Endorsed!
i uploaded an optional no clouds file for you. all surface clouds disappear. there are also mods which edit the entire surface cloud meshes with the same effect.
