That the visitors don‘t fight anymore leads to some hilarious situations. I was called to defend The Slog and there where supermutants and some of the Mechanists robots. A crazy fight ensued and two of the visitors just walked calmly between exploding robots, firing turrets, screaming Mutants, fighting settlers and my Sole Survivor, all duking it out with each other.
Aside from that great addition to SS2. The default visitors often looked really strange.
Ok to add the mod mid playthrough? Would I have to wait for the visitors to reload if they're already spawned in the save? Also is it safe to change their names in fo4edit too? I'm bothered by how all the visitors don't have their second names capitalized like most other generic NPC names such as raiders. So I'm trying to do that too if it's safe to do mid playthrough
Yes, it is safe to add mod mid playthrough. Currently spawned visitors will not be changed. Visitors do despawn and respawn regularly when you leave the settlements. Yes, it is safe to change the names with FO4Edit mid play through.
It even fixed the Hub of the problem mission where my SS asks Jake why he is all geared up but he isn't but with this mod it is patched and Jake actually wears additional armor. Thanks again!
Yes, visitors are not effected by anything that Better Settlers does from what I can tell. Better Settlers changes the outfit worn by setters to its own internal outfit. There are other mods that change what settlers wear with the FO4 built in WastelanderOutfit or through the Leveled Item list LL_Wastelander_Outfit that it points to. Those mods will change what the "Visiting wastelander' wear with my mod installed but Better Settlers does not do that.
Thank you for endorsing the mod. Occasionally that "creepy overcoat" will show on a few visitors but a lot less often and only those with names like scavenger.
