The preview for the spray and pray looks like this - did not buy the weapon, no idea if it's bugged as well or only the preview. Any idea what could cause this?
Edit: Could you maybe make the replacer an addtional esp and not a replacement?
It is not a mod conflict, that is just how any unique weapon that is replaced with a mod like this behaves. All you have to do to fix it is go to the Weapons Bench and build the correct parts.
Take a look at how cyanide4suicide makes his replacers - he replaces every OMOD of the original weapon with the modded equivalent. It's what has to be done to make a replacer cover the uniques - if you want it to look like it should when you get it. Otherwise, you will see train wreck for the unique weapon - until you swap components at the workbench..
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, maybe I'm being stupid. But for the life of me I can not get it to work. Can I get any explanations on how to do this? I would love to actually be able to use this mod.
Only works on an older save, even NPCs had the submachine gun replaced when loading an old save. But it does not replace the gun when starting a new game.
The only real sad part about this is that there is no special version for the silver shroud smg since the original mod author had made this as a standalone mod
Just commenting that this is now my favorite weapon replacer mod. It makes places like Goodsprings or any interaction with Triggermen a lot more immersive since they now all have guns that match the aesthetic.
The only real other thing is that I want to note is that it does make certain encounters a bit more difficult because the Triggermen now pack some serious heat, even on lower levels. Not that I consider that really a downside, since the Triggermen are relatively easy enemies and this actually makes them somewhat of a threat at least since a bunch of them going full "DAKKA DAKKA" is going to hurt.
If a Submachine gun is already spawned in the world, does this replace it or is it only for new spawns of a submachine gun? Just trying to see if I can get this mod to work.
It replaces all submachine guns currently spawned and newly spawned; however, any weapons spawned in already will have broken visuals. You must upgrade them at a weapons workbench or just scrap them. Performing a cell reset is recommended.
Thank you for the quick response man! Greatly appreciated. I think maybe vortex isn't overwriting the original esp then for some reason, since there's a ton of submachine guns still whilst rescuing valentine.

by any chance, are you running other plugins or mods that are overriding the vanilla SMG?
