Even the lowest speed available here is much better than the default speed! Also, the page won't let me endorse the mod, even tho I've downloaded it and have had it in the game for well over an hour. So let me just endorse it here: ENDORSED XD
Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen any of the options work. I've tried most, but the windmills don't change at all. The only ones that seem affected are the ones available in the Vanilla Extensions mod. Any suggestions to remedy this? Thanks in advance.
Just had a fun thought, what if you added the possibility for collision, lol imagine those blade smacking the settlers around at "warp speed" ahhh, yes I'm demented need to be to live in today's world :P
After a long break, it's time to once again return to the wasteland.
Did you ever have a look at getting the turbines to slow down and speed up, depending on weather? Just curious. Doesn't really matter if you abandoned the idea. ;)
I don't know if it would be similar/as easy as what you did with the windmills.. I don't even know if there are more than one type of fan.. I know you can build one in your settlement which includes a light, but then I think I have seen other fans in non-settlement areas that don't seem to have lighting. I am talking about the ceiling fans.. I know there is one type of desk fan that rotates as well but that doesn't really matter. I mean it's just a suggestion, they move as if they would not generate any wind at all (the point of a fan, isn't it? )
if it's not similar to how you did the windmills then don't stress too much about it to figure it out.
Got me thinking about this a bit and i came up with a possible answer. Rather a general direction that might point to the right answer, lol?
Main difference between the windmill and the ceiling fan is that, the ceiling fan can have it's rotation interrupted by any physical object. I noticed this when trying to put the fan under a steep arched roof. Windmills don't have this issue, their blades clip through anything that touches it.
Since you're openly offering: Make a mod for all Mister Handy / Nannybot / Mister Gusty robots (that is, any robot with the uplifting jet) Replace the jet with a futuristic metal thingy Robots now hover via "future science" instead of a jet flame. Extra points: use this sound effect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnT1VgeXOF0
