This is the perk entry. Anyone can easily interpret it.
The entry point set a modificatoin (-100) on max carry weight when the condition is met.
The condition is: When player (PL) get item Ammo308Caliber count more than (>) 300 OR when player get item Ammo2mmEC count more than 300 OR when player get item Ammo38Caliber count more than 300...
All of these values can be changed independently.
To make the penalty stackable, it only requires to add several perk entries for the perk, each entry with its own conditions.
Survival mode drops default carry weight from 200 down to 75, or 85 with Str 1. Taking -100 off that causes an overflow bug by making the value negative so it wraps back around to a crazy high number, essentially giving you infinite carry weight when you have over 100 ammo.
This is amazing. I've been looking for something like this for so long! If you could do stims and or chems next that would be awesome. It would make for a true hardcore survival playthrough without having to worry about finding a good loot mod to balance out the world drops!
Finally, an immersive ammunition limit, even if it is not based on weight but on the amount of ammunition..
Very good! Thank you very much!
What do you think of the idea of making an MCM menu where everyone can set the amount of ammunition per munition? And did you also take over the ammunition from the DLCs?
It's quite easy to make an MCM for this actually. In those perk owner conditions, you can set the value to check against a global variable. MCM is extremely useful for changing globals, as you just have to link the global to the MCM json file. Changes to globals are made right away and you don't need to use script to change it.
However, to use the MCM, the mod will have the requirement of F4SE and MCM.
If I can find the time, I'll make an MCM for this. I'll have to ask Cthorthu regarding permissions.
Does your mod affects apply to Caliber Complex, Combined arms and Advanced Needs 76? Adavnaced needs adds a different kind of ammo weight system which decreases carry capacity instead of giving ammo weight values(All ammo weights zero).
Yes. This is not a big problem for me, since I am playing with Unbogus Fallout, which returns vanilla parameters of the carried weight in survival mode + I have the Salvage beacons mod installed. I think this would be a good combination.
If you have installed previous version and moving to other version, is advisable to use console to "remove perk" and "add perk" again after installation. player.removeperk XXXXXXXX player.addperk XXXXXXXX

But is there a way to exclude Power Armor from the limits set by this mod?
It can be set on "conditions" of the perk.
I'm currently a bit offline from modding, maybe on some time.
Glad you like it :) Have a nice day!
Probably not (I never played survival)...

I'm going to complete the description with this info. Thanks for your comment!
You could easily enough make a Survival Mode variant. I fixed mine by just going in and changing the value.
I'm not currently in the Commonwealth but I take note ;)

I think MCM is a great idea, but is far away of my capabilities.
DLC ammo is not included, because I don't use DLCs.

This mod is only for vanilla ammo
Make them stackable per 100 rounds of ammo.

That would be more script intensive, but your on to something here.
Let's see if anyone endorse this suggestion.
And thanks for the link! Good stuff
I think I have to stick to vanilla ammo weights.
I have not working on Fallout mods for a time. Check sticky post is you are still interested on a different version.
Take in mind you need room to loot...
