i like the idea of this mod, but i always felt like his story should have continued in some way, like he would somehow be involved with the COA faction as their leader or something, his character is written to be this powerful lord who can take over the minds of people and enthrall them to his will, so he's already got that as a lore reason why the COA would worship him, not to mention his voice files are the same as martin who was the character for the COA in the far harbor DLC so he's already got the mood for his voice in that setting anyway, maybe a quest is involved with him making him their leader in that pyramid location in the glowing sea if the player allows him to live and have him tie into the main quest in some way when the brotherhood sends the player to that location to pick up the nukes, maybe his power hungry needs starts a larger issue to deal with the COA in that pyramid location where they attack you at will in the location leading to that final boss fight and treat the quest as if he being out of his son's care and siding with him was a bad idea as all that power went to his head and it's up to you to kill him in a boss fight that leads to the surface of the glowing sea as he has control over various creatures of the glowing sea and maybe he has other abilities like he can project himself as hologram clones of himself attacking you, so you have to weaken his powers by killing all his duplicate clones.
sorry i get carried away with my imagination sometimes lol, you don't have to do any of this, i just like to share my thoughts on stuff like this, as there is always so much potential in bethesda games, they just end up writing a story that is ok, but not that great and needs dramatic improvement's for story telling and role play reasons.
Someone actually saw that constant annoyance as a selling point? I wouldn't have bothered with NV for long without a mod to remove that eyesore. The companion wheel is just plain lazy garbage.
Nice! Lorenzo plays a somewhat major part in my personal lore, so it's cool to see this. If I free him, will there be two Lorenzos, or does this disable the original after the quest is complete? If not, how might I fix that?
You could use the console to disable the original after you finish the quest if you don't want two lorenzos for some reason.
The companion copy can still be asked for serum. Similar to the original one he won't give you any if you already have one. But won't behave any differently if you sold or dropped it. I couldn't wrap my head around how bethesda scripted that.

I find Lorenzo to be a suitable bad guy companion.
Been awhile tho, not 100% on that.
