Before you post anything about the color of brains, I know brains are not pink they're gray, I've had enough comments on the mod to tell me so. Please don't post about the color because I will remove it if I see it. There's a green version of the texture for you if you don't like the pink brains.
I'm new to texturing, and I still have a lot to learn. Any feedback on my work is appreciated (unless you're just going to say that it sucks and not explain why). Feedback helps me out much more than you might think, and even if you think your feedback is harsh I'm fine with it, just don't tell me it sucks and then not explain why, that helps out no one.
If you don't see any glow map file in the download that's normal don't worry about it, you'll get the glow in your game I guarantee it.
The pink version edits a material, if you don't install it with the textures, you'll get a green glow instead of a pink one.
Just a heads up if you are using this mod and the fomod installer. The fomod is configured incorrectly, installing the textures into a "FOMOD" folder instead of a "textures" folder. So a manual change or the manual install is advised. Cheers !
This is a cool mod but I have a request. Under Brain Fungus it says it's based off this mushroom (Gyromitra esculenta) can you make a texture that makes it look like that? Or the color?
I can do a colored version that'll make it look like that, but since I'm no 3D modeler, I can't do more than that, I'll do that once I'm done with my current retexture project
I've scoured the Nexus for a retexture of this for 3/NV as well. Turns out Bethesda used the same texture for 4. This could likely be used for the other games too, except new normal maps would need to be made.
I'm glad you enjoy it, sadly I have no knowledge of texturing in the other games so I can't port it over myself, and I'm focussing on Fallout 4 right now as I still have a lot to learn and it's already very time consuming. I'm happy that you like it though
