The SS Chapter 2 leader stuff is a bit finnicky. So if leaders are not showing up when you try and assign them via the desk/trade menu, use this command in console. cqf ss2_optionsmanager rebuildleadercardscache
I have to use it quite frequently for whatever reason, but the leaders do show up, and they are assignable.
Command still not working for me, however, did confirm through my own experience and on the Sim Settlements forums that if you open up the leaders' trade window with no leaders then, close the window and re-open. They should be there. It's instant for me, but some have stated of waiting up to a minute before opening the leader window again.
The only issue I have with this mod is that I am unable to assign Sturges to Red Rocket. Really? After he expresses his liking of Red Rocket, and I can't assign him? Oh well.
Just an FYI because I had to discover this, If you liberate/help a settlement for a Minuteman quest and want the unique person to be the leader, you *have* to turn in the quest to Preston before unlocking the person that resides at the settlement and then refresh the leader thing with the command Eldiabs provides in the sticky, but otherwise, the mod works great! (Additional FYI for people wondering about next-gen, it works fine.)
So Ronnie shaw is not showing up in my list and she is also uncommendable to assign her manually. I am using it with SS2 and I do use both We are the minutemen and Militarized Minutemen mods but she seems to have more her vanilla behavior. She acts as a weapons dealer in her assignment description. Only thing I have done to Castle is the Old guns quest. showed up to finally build a city plan there and have her run it instead of garvey but no dice.
Yeah she and a few others are buggy Im still working out some kinks, for some reason the T4 merchants npc settler scripts are all kinds of jacked up. Making custom MM leaders / commanders for conq when its released this should provide more than enough options when i finally finish!
This is still an issue. Also, after assigning Abernathy, Preston Garvey, and Tenpines, it tells me there is no more on the list, to assign using the Workshop. I'm using Mo2 for my mod manager. This is using just SS2
Thank you for this mod. Even though some limitations are unnecessary, but mostly logical since those with homes already, wouldn't want to move or lead some other settlement. Unless they get paid more.
I'm having a weird issue with the mod. Currently I have only 2 available leaders, Sturges and Blake Abernathy. When choosing a leader for Sanctuary, both of them are listed but when doing the same in Abernathy Farm, only Sturges appears in the list. Any idea how to fix it?
Yeah, having same issue of others posting here where the leaders are not showing up at the planner's desk. At Abernathy farm only have Sturges and Codsworth.
I have the same problem. I gave up on it. You can manually set a city leader by assigning someone to the city planner desk anyway so I've just been doing that.
I think its a scripting / backlog issue with SS2. Ill have multiple settlements that wont have leaders show up in the menu when I unlock the settlement, but when I come back later / after sleeping / clearing an interior etc it has multiple leaders listed.
Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling, then waiting a couple in game days and it started working when I played last night. So yeah, I think its scripting backlog, as well as having to progress far enough down the SS2 questline.
@ChoiceSpecsMawile I think that's it. The leaders eventually showed up after a while but I'm wondering why other leader packs don't do the same. Just like SS1 I was under the impression that I can run multiple leader packs at once. I have yours and another. The other one shows up immediately but perhaps this one takes longer because it has more leaders available?
Hm thats interesting. Id be interested in that as well. Can you tell me which pack youre using that loads instantly. There could be like 7 things, from how i implemented the NPCs to the records I edited to a few other things.
Im working on creating Unique NPCs without attached scripts who would serve as leaders for the sole purpose that I was dissatisfied with the lag from vanilla NPCs and their associated scripts.
BS affects presets, not unique settlers (i dont think). If it does and you use any of the crazy options it offers you may have to clean it but with base works fine.

Can confirm this works. May take a bit for the list to update.
