why do people always add f0cking random rust to weapons ? do modders know that weapons need to be kept clean with simple oils ecc to work in order, i hate the rust on some weapons mods, is just so stupid omg
This is just a retex of a weapon created by Bethesda, friend. A great quality btw. And tbh, it doesn't have that many mechanical parts since it's a laser weapon, so...
If you don't like it, there are several other options that are just as good.
Rust is part of the broken-down aesthetics of Fallout, where lots of things don't make much sense. Does producing ultra-advanced synths yet not equipping them with proper armor make sense? Does developing laser weapons that are strictly inferior to conventional ballistic firearms make any sense? Do people living in poorly repaired trash heaps, often without beds, heaters, or comforts, make sense? You must keep your sense of immersion very selective, or you'd hate this game. Besides, you'd be surprised how poorly maintained many guns are in real life. While doing military service in MENA, I remember confiscating several rusty AKs, some still warm from having been used moments before (one from spectacularly misfiring, mind you). You would think they had more access to oil in that region than in a post-apocalyptic wasteland...
Not getting these to work, same with Flamer Project.
I use MO2, can someone assume I am 5 even though I mod regularly, just so no little apparent step is missed?
I am unzipping the file to pull out the ESL and BA2s and placing them in my data folder. Which for me, is under F4SE because I use that with MO2. I also place it in base-game directory as if I wasn't using Mo2, just to be certain.
I then install the mod on MO2 by adding the zip from downloads and activate. Can someone explain the issue here? Textures not overwriting vanilla even though my INIs should be set up right and the vague as hell install instructions are being met. I am assuming theres a little "duh" golden ticket being left out here.
Am I supposed to pull the WHOLE zip (still zipped) into the data folder and install into MO2 from there? This sounds off to me which is why I didn't assume it at first.
Both the left and right side of MO2 (mod file vs plugin) are active.
I can't seem to get this mod to work. I've tried downloading the esp and esl versions, and have tried putting each version in manually in my Fallout 4 data folder. It doesn't seem to change the laser weapons in any way. I am also having the same problem with your other mod, The Flamer Project
it appears that NMM installed the files in their own folder inside the Data folder, the archive files and plugin files should go to the root of the data folder (not the game's root folder but the data folder inside it). this has happened with several other mods as well, moving the files to their proper places and activating the esp's seems to have fixed the issue.
I'm having the same issue with both. I use MO2, can someone assume I am 5 even though I mod regularly, just so no little apparent step is missed?

this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I love FO4's laser rifles, they feel great despite being in a state of "half cut content" or "barely representative of the concept art". Doing these guns justice.
As a side-note: If you're using either of the 2k versions, bear in mind that the files in v2 of the "pistol barrel copper fix. loose files" archive are 4k so if you're worried about performance you might want to downscale them.

NVM disregard this post
