mantis forelimbs appear under misc instead of aid, and grilled mantis forelimbs deal radiation damage unlike other foodstuffs. is there a fix for either of these?
Does this make Mantis attack settlements? I've been using NSA No Settlement Attacks for a while now and had no attacks until I got a notification about an attack and I had to kill a group of Mantis to complete the attack. I don't know if it was just a coincidence that it was a group of Mantis that attacked and another mod messed up NSA or if this does something that ignores it.
EDIT: Since it keeps happening, i'm going to assume NSA just isn't stopping this mod from having Mantis attack my settlements.
Ok, so the glowing mantis blood is terribly broken. It spawns everwhere in large amounts but thats not the main issue. It does not appear anywhere in your inventory, and from what i can tell when you pick it up it is being converted to the same id that caps use, "0000000F". When I look up the id for glowing mantis blood i find 2 entries, the first being the one with all the zeros and the other looking normal, it read "FE04D00F" for me.
There are commands to still get it out of your inventory, "player.removeitem itemid quantity", however since the mantis blood changes to share the "0000000F" id when picked up the game recognizes it as caps as well as mantis blood. Using the remove command on FE04D00F" did nothing even though its the proper looking one.
In short mantis blood becomes invisible in your inventory and weighs you down, and the only way to remove it that i can immediately find will also remove your caps. "player.removeitem 0000000F 100" will remove both 100 glowing mantis blood as well as 100 caps.
For those also getting this issue, try updating your I.H.O.. Fixed it for me
I take it back, the complex sorter appears to be causing this actually? Strange, but fixable.
Open your complex sorter plugin you created in fo4edit, and find glowing mantis blood under misc. Delete the entry. After doing this cap stashes no longer give blood, it appears in my inventory, and when i look up mantis blood in the console it also doesnt display the 0000000F entry anymore. AND the sorting icon still works on it, nice.
i was wondering why it was giving me so much glowing mantis blood
i just reinstalled the game after hearing about that Fallout25th and the weekly creation club giveaway, thought i mod my game wile getting the free stuff.
in my case i use vortex uninstall Output Patch ESP File Purge Mods in vortex (Purge Mods Button) clear the FO4Edit Cache Delete FO4Edit reinstall FO4Edit reinstall Complex Item Sorter to FO4Edit reinstall Output Patch ESP File deploy mods in vortex (Deploy Mods Button) rerun FO4Edit tool and the M8r Complex Sorter script check the M8r Complex Sorter.esp before closing FO4Edit glowing mantis blood is now gone
also i like to add that i have removed Mojave Mantises from my load order when i did this not sure if its related. because one would think it might be Mojave Mantises that is the cause of the glowing mantis blood cause the mod adds mantis blood but could also be some sort of error related to the FO4Edit Cache or some kind of Cache
This is the first time I'm hearing about "M8r Complex Sorter" and "Output Patch" for FO4Edit. I want to use this mod, but don't have those things installed, and don't want to be stuck with infinite weight on what I assume is basically a mundane item.
Can't I just open the ESP with FO4Edit and remove/edit the Glowing Mantis Blood from the mod entirely?
Edit: Yeah, I just opened the ESP with FO4Edit and removed the blood. So far, I haven't seen it appear on their corpses.
You do amazing work GrilledTurkey! Ty so much. Question though: could we get a file that combines your Mojave creatures and Capital wasteland creatures together? Or at least in groups or something, "The Mojave Pack" or the "Capital Wasteland Pack"? That way we can enjoy much more of your good work wo using up lots of esp limit?
I seem to have the opposite issue as other people - I can't actually find any. It's not on any of the mantises, or anywhere else. Is there a "guaranteed location" of any? You know, like how 1 out of 100x bartenders will actually have rum on hand, but you can always find a bottle "in the basement refrigerator of the Cabot House." That sort of thing.
Also, is it a misc item, junk, or aid/edible? That would help me out a lot in trying to find it if I did happen to miss it in my inventories.
UPDATE: Mantis foreleg for me is fe03d00e, and mantis blood is fe03d00f. There's no load order number because it's an ESL, so heck if I know what to replace the first 2 digits with.
UPDATE 2023.02.01: So the BaseID for those two items are more random and unclear than I assumed. This time around the IDs for those items are fe04400e and fe04400f respectively. My advice is to use a mod like Better Console - F4SE to find the ref and base IDs for Mantis Foreleg, then use additem but change the E at the end to an F.
Unsure why but I get glowing mantis blood whenever I pick up cap stashes. It does not show up in my inventory but it does take up space. Such a weird bug.
