    Total godsend. Thank you.

If you can remove those sounds and also Stingwings too that would be great, but this by itself is a lifesaver.

I have an idea, can someone just remove the needle? I'd be fine with them if they didn't have the needle. Even their creepy attack animation would be fine. I'm just unsettled by any insect that chases me hoping to impale me.

Are the original Bloodbug sounds still present?

    The mod sounds hilarious nonetheless

Yep. Same sounds. I might add an optional file to replace the bloodbug sounds with cat noises if enough people request it.

Perhaps you could put in an optional cat sound, so they sound feral or angry when they're attacking?

I just about fell off my chair laughing at the video. Too funny!

If there was a Wild Wastelands perk, this would be excellent. Although, it's funny all by itself lol.

    Fun fact:
Bloodbugs actually are a composite creatures with separate meshes for heads, legs, body, and stinger. I replaced each of those with the complete cat mesh. This means that what looks like a single poorly animated flying cat is actually a sort of "cat golem" formed from four separate poorly animated flying cats acting as one entity. You can kinda see this when it uses its sting attack and it looks like it launches a separate cat to attack you.

....flying cats? Can't you just remove them? Or replace them with the flies....
This is genuinely the most annoying problematic enemy in the game because of how hard hitting them is compared to their INSANE health amounts, and OP lock-on-to-face attacks.... Like, it's so dumb that I will take on a pack of Death Claws with vigor, but a couple mosquitos will make me freak out and panic like a little girl!! O:<

Removing them entirely was my original plan. Unfortunately it appears many of them use hand-placed spawns instead of generic spawns using the leveled list. Tracking them all down using FO4Edit would be a nightmare, as it would mean inspecting every single cell in the game manually for Bloodbug spawns.

I also tried removing their blood sucking attack (This mod is a request by a friend with a needle phobia) but I couldn't figure out how to modify their combat AI.

In the end the simplest solution was to just make them downright silly with a simple mesh swap.
